@fr1tzthecat@ListerLawrence Lovely looking things, but not enough room in the back. I really struggled to put rear facing isofix behind my already compromised driving position on the A290GTS the in-laws have.
@hjwakerley Whilst looking for a caddy I came across so much discourse around faulty injectors it really put me off the 1.6tdi, despite it being well regarded. Would the 2.0 tdi still be available at that age?
@korejay I agree, and that is disheartening, however the alternative is paying rent for the rest of your life. All being well, this will be paid off by the time I retire.
@korejay To be fair my last rental before ownership was valued at £1200pm, my mortgage on the same value property is £820pm; with both myself and partner putting up about £7k each deposit
@valuemanmatt@yetiayrshore@GeoffBuysCars Ex Amazon electric sprinters are being offloaded for about 6 grand. Say 4 grand to fix it up and 10-15 ish to convert if. Granted the range won’t be amazing but it’ll suit many local catering applications; no one is spending 200k on an incream van and hoping ti be profitable.
@mar5ha11@psbroke@Tesla@TeslaCharging There is suitable HV infrastructure in North Wales and plenty popular urbanised destinations along the coast parallel to the a55; heading to Holyhead port. Granted there aren’t any Tesla chargers, but as a local you’d never struggle to publicly charge. Unless in the mountains.
@EVPuzzle More research needs to look at DNO maintenance. Recently had a lot of jobs where sub stations have been backfed via generators which trip as the clouds clear as domestic properties are exporting more to the ‘grid’ than the generator is pumping out; causing frequent mini outages.
@AutoInfatuation NYC! Get ‘the New York pass’. A one off payment which covers tickets etc we saved almost $1k e.g empire state view & bike rentals for Central Park. Brooklyn is underrated, I’d stay nr Times Square. April’s best month! Next I’d explore Long Island and the costal e.g Nantucket.
@AutoPap I’d put any money on this early press car getting a full pain correction and ceramic detail. I’d wager actual customer care are a very different story.
@AutoPap It wouldn’t have been fitted or activated if not legal. I’m sure I’ll just be adaptive cruise with lane keep assist. Most decent spec new cars have it.
@Mike94F1@Timoldland We just swapped our hrv for one on a pcp, basically giving it away, getting on for £20k in discounts and grants. Wouldn’t be my first choice but for the money it’s a cracking daily in advanced spec
