Tomorrow will be the furthest from home I have ever been to buy a car for myself, door to door once picked up it’s as near as makes no difference, 200 miles.

Going up on the train and driving back in the big, V8 A8L🤞

So it’s important my ‘Car buying bag’ is correctly packed.

I currently have the following:

- NOCO Boost XL 1500A (Jump Pack)
- NOCO AL5 Portable Air Compressor
- TopDon Lite BT Diagnostic Tablet
- Tyre Pressure/Depth Gauge
- 2x Microfibre Cloths
- Box of 5-30A Blade Fuses
- Blade Fuse Extractor
- 12v USB Adapter
- USB-C to multiple phone connector cable
- Bovee 3000A BT adapter (No idea if it still works, bought it for my original A8 back in 2014 🤯)
- Windscreen Suction Phone Holder
- Wet wipes
- Paracetamol
- A pen and notepad
- My RayBan Metas 🕶️
- Money, of course 💷

It’s a bit late for me to buy anything but am I missing something that’s obvious you’d have to hand at home?

For the first two years I did the same. First two cars were both from 15 minutes down the road.

I have a mega HPI system I have access to which will show everything that’s possible to see and gives you protection if it’s wrong so I check it with that first.

Then rang the guy and had a good chat with him, definitely got a good vibe, asked the important questions about this particular car/engine and then you just hope it’s all as described when you get there. £140 on trains and a day wasted is better than a couple of grand though I guess.

Part of the owners club I’d be way more chilled out.

@map18w Annoyingly my insurance renews at 11.59pm tomorrow evening so I’ve got a day’s temp insurance on it for tomorrow but I have taken the additional breakdown to be safe!
