263 miles done in the 3.0 Petrol E66 this evening. Every time I do a big journey in it I fall a little bit more in love but the amount of issues building up is a little overwhelming to be honest to the point I just keep wanting out 😖
Did fix a big one today though, have been banging my head against the wall wondering why my Comfort Access (Keyless) won’t work despite me replacing the antenna and it fixing everything else related that wasn’t working. No fault codes on the doors or anything either - then had a brainwave. What if I can get into the Comfort Access module with my Diagnostics and it just needs resetting?
Only bloody worked! So thats one thing ticked off the list for no extra cost 👍
@thealexbear@ListerLawrence Same here. Earned good money since I was 19 but it seemed easy to come by so have always spent big too.
I’d be absolutely laughing now if someone had sat me down at 19 and told me any of this.
@JamesP728@MyLegoBookFund That would make sense, I’ve had these two a few months and they do some strange things vs the stocks they follow. I’m was up 40% on the AMD one at one point so might sell them whilst I’m ahead. Not talking huge money or anything though.
@MyLegoBookFund@JamesP728 I do, usually whatever dividend I get goes straight back into that ETF/Stock. This month looks as if it’ll be nearly £10 from two which will be nice 😊
@MyLegoBookFund@JamesP728 Haha no I didn’t mean that, sorry 😅
I’m used to similar dividends to what you’ve shown but these income shares ones can be pretty insane!
@JamesP728@MyLegoBookFund Sorry to jump in here but does this not seem insane to you? Income Shares AMD Options are going to pay me £7.11 from a whole £60 worth of shares 🤯
@scottjeffLH44 With you on this. There’s a ‘Caravan Park’ not far from me and this happened on Friday night, Police absolutely everywhere this morning still.

This month marks Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month.
Despite facing discrimination in many areas of life, our Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller communities have long contributed to life in our capital and today we celebrate that rich legacy.
@MattTakeThree My Wife said something very similar when we watched his latest video. It’s amazing what he’s doing really but other than maybe a few other YouTubers, no one else would even contemplate doing what he’s doing with any Bugatti product.
I can see where @TCEmmaSavage is coming from. Way too many cowboys in this industry now, I had a phone call at 10.30pm a few weeks ago from a local private chap because his go to Chauffeur had dropped him in it for a 11am Heathrow the next morning. No offer to help find someone, just sorry I can’t take you now.
See it all the time unfortunately.
@tomsharplrw Hi Tom, mines the K10 Pro and as much as I like it and it’s saved me many £’s already, was I in the market for one again I’d probably buy the TopDon equivalent to be honest. Just a cleaner UI to deal with.
Bitter sweet day with the E66.
Soldered the new Steering Angle Sensors on which is genuinely the first thing I’ve soldered since 2006 so please no judgement 😂
Then began to put it altogether and the thing that took the longest? The bloody plastic trim around the steering wheel, just would not click in properly but my Wife’s calmer and feminine touch assisted in that being sorted 🙋🏻♀️
Once it was all back on and I switched the car on and……….the light was still on and the ‘Drive carefully’ message still coming up too.
Kingbolen plugged in, low and behold it’s a different fault that wasn’t there before 🤦♂️ Upside being all of the effort hasn’t gone to waste as the brush contact/SZL fault has completely disappeared and the car now knows that the steering wheel is being turned, only being 1.01% out which I’ll take.
It’s now saying there is a Dynamic Stability Control fault which is switching between a Rotation Rate Sensor fault and just not being able to communicate with the DSC itself 🤷♂️
I took it for a drive down the road, hoping the wheels actually turning might reset it but unfortunately not the case.
Strangely though my indicators are now auto cancelling and I think my Adaptive Cruise is working too which is obviously great news.
Guess it wouldn’t be an old BMW if I wasn’t constantly chasing faults 😅
I’m sure for a BMW Tech this job would of taken about 30 minutes but it’s taken me more or less all day 😆
I’d say this car has had its steering wheel replaced or something similar at some point as there were signs of previous intrusion but worst of all the 15mm bolt holding the steering wheel on was tightened WAY above the 55nm it should have been. Took stage two of an industrial impact gun to loosen it 😳
Definitely think I’ve found the issue though (see pic.4) and for once means my Diagnostic machine found the fault down to a tee. Both Steering angle sensor brushes are tired but one in particular is totally done for, upside though is there’s no prior soldering meaning they are original or the SZL was put on brand new at some point.
Now just to work out how to replace them and put it all back together 😬
I’ve not driven that particular engine but have experience with the C200 and C220 CDI of that shape.
However I had a client who’s staff all had the C350E as company cars and seemed to love them and the guys that came and bought the Range Rover the other day turned up in one too. They said it drove great but had a judder at 110k on the clock 😬
