@FireNews23 Hi, for any water rescue incident in Derbyshire, the pre-determined attendance (PDA) is two nearest water ladders and two nearest water rescue units. This is more for firefighter safety, than for what is required to carry out a rescue.
With Storm Bert crossing the county over the last day or, @AshbourneStn have been busy with a chimney fire last night, a fire alarm early this morning and then a water rescue from Tissington Ford late morning. Take care out there in this weather, and stay away from open water! π
Early start for @AshbourneStn and @FireWirksworth this morning, attending a car fire in Kirk Ireton. Unfortunately the car was beyond repair, however quick action by firefighters wearing BA stopped the fire spreading to a fence and adjoining property #hereforyou#teamDFRS π₯π¦π
Firefighters remain in attendance this morning alongside colleagues from @DerbysPolice.
Please keep windows and doors closed if you see or smell smoke and please avoid the area.
Including @AshbourneStn who were supported by @FireWirksworth to ensure a property was safe on Derby Road, Ashbourne following reports of a lightning strike on the roof. Thankfully no one was injured and the scene was left safe βοΈπ
