I couldn't even listen to the point Anish was trying to make, this is how the media operates ig
I mean why does the moderator even exist, if he has already taken his stand, ofc he would lean towards that, rather than understanding the facts.
Rookies, not revolutionaries, who like to look tough for Instagram, hoping they achieve a political breakthrough. Their cause is so shallow that it evaporates if you move the protest site 3 kilometres away from Jantar Mantar.
My views on CJP.
Most Indians don't know this, but the Dreze family are literally academic royalty in Belgium.
Jean's brother the late Xavier Dreze was a highly regarded Marketing professor at UCLA's Anderson School of Management. He was one of the very very few who could do both modeling and consumer behavior research. He died very young at age 48. His obituary says he was a true polymath with multiple academic and sporting talents.
Jean's father the late Jacques Dreze was an economist at the Université Catholique de Louvain. He was a highly regarded economist and the first president of the European Economic Association. He has collaborated with nobel laureates Robert Aumann and Franco Modigliani and his publication record is comparable with the best in the field.
Jean Dreze could have had a very cushy life with his family legacy, white skin and European passport. Even in India, he could have been a social butterfly flitting in and out of five star hotels and running think tanks funded hy veated interests. Instead, he took Indian citizenship, learnt Hindi and roughs it out in rural Jharkhand. He designed many schemes and his footprint is all over Indian economic policy.
You may like him or hate him. But Jean Dreze is more Indian than anyone who was born Indian, including you and me. He chose to be Indian. And he has dedicated his life to India.
Think of this the next time some illiterate journalist asks "Who is Jean Dreze?"
Wtf would u do in such a situation, when people are literally pushing you ??
I mean....😒
Their are pictures of RG literally hugging people from backward communities....
I am not a huge supporter, but this isnt the right way to criticise
I mean have notes to refer and reading straight out from a teleprompter, rw pages are targeting these petty things, coz they don't have anything solid against the allegations...
Not everyone can just wait for this country to develop, why wouldn't they take the opportunity to leave and move to a better country, where their livelihood is taken care of
But it's up to people like you and the other influential people to try end the problems that we Indians face, and make Indian seem like a place to be , so we can actually reverse drain.
It's actually easy for a few people to be patriotic and tweet....
While this is undoubtedly all true, some of us still choose to build here because - believe it it or not - we simply love our country and can't imagine living anywhere else.
But in reality most guys who leave India arent less patriotic, they are fed up of how they are treated on a day to day basis, the beaureacracy, everything is too much for a citizento handle, even though they are developments , it would take a long time, for India to be viksit
Every single person desires to go to SF, coz the ecosystem is wonderful, but I think most Indians wanna stay back because of exactly the reasons that you mentioned, and not everyone can afford to travel to the US, we can only hope that the government understands this
The smartest Indians continue to come to build in the US for the simple reason that the economic incentives are far far better.
Perplexity ($20B), Skild ($14B+), Baseten ($13B), Together ($8B), Glean ($8B), Modal ($5B), Rubrik ($25B), Harness ($5B), Blacksmith, Parallel, Greptile, CodeRabbit, Composio, Distyl ($2B), Resolve, Luma, Cartesia, Wispr, dMatrix, Arize and many more - all started by at least one Indian-born founder.
The US is a far easier to raise capital in with far less dilution. Most Indian companies are switching where they're domiciled to get access to the US capital markets. Every single Indian venture firm is trying very hard to invest in the US or risk not participating in the AI race (ironically, the management fees of venture firms are so high in India relatively that this is the one group that net of carry actually has incentive to be in India because they take home well north of a living wage whether or not funds perform do)
While Zomato ($35B now, $8B at IPO) might be the biggest outcome in Indian venture, Cursor ($60B), Reflection (potentially $20B+), World Labs ($8B), OpenRouter ($8B), HuggingFace ($12B) and of course the $1T+ big labs quickly make those outcomes seem small and happen on a much smaller time scale, with much higher IRR.
Engineers at these startups regularly get paid $1M/yr, and make $10M+ on exit. Even in BigTech, it is trivial to pull up levels fyi and see that if you're L6/L7+ with ~10 years of experience, you're making $1M/yr there too. And of course, we all know the slew of Indian CEOs of companies here, not to mention a huge bench of lesser known executives across the board in public and private companies.
I say all this because every time there is a slight immigration hiccup in the US, I hear the online pleas to "build in India", I struggle to understand why most engineers, academics or founders would do that net of desire to be close to family, failure to obtain visa and devout patriotism.
This is not a superiority thing or a US v India thing. The economic incentives at least for technologists to being in the US outweigh India by at least an order of magnitude.
That quote is absolutely spot on: cheaper products always have more customers.
The exact same thing applies to the ISL and the Premier League.
The Premier League has so much hype worldwide, but the quality of the game is actually very low. On the other hand, the ISL features top-level football, yet it gets no hype at all.
If you look at the stadiums, ISL stadiums are absolutely perfect for high-quality football, whereas the quality of Premier League stadiums is quite poor.
India is far ahead of any country in sports
I am genuinely stunned that hardly anyone has shown any intent to protest against the flawed reservation system or even raise their voice against it.
Unfortunately, there’s no funding for such causes.
I am all for reservation based on financial need, to help people uplift themselves. But reservation for people living in bungalows? 🤦🏼♂️
Dear Prime Minister Ambani,
Please accept my humble apologies for not realizing that you are the real boss of India.
Naturally, you would prefer to maintain your monopolistic exploitation of the great people of India, but would you nonetheless consider allowing Starlink to compete?
There are many areas of India, as there are in all countries, with no Internet access, which denies children the opportunity for education and for small businesses the opportunity to sell their goods to a global market. Starlink would change their lives for the better.
Thank you 🙏
If Govt approves Starlink:
"Modi surrendered our data to American oligarchs! Threat to national security!"
If Govt puts security checks on Starlink:
"Monopoly! Crony capitalism! Welcome to India Elon!"
Heads I win, tails you lose. 🤷♂️
This is hilarious, news channels did a entire debage on Raga eating a non veg item, and I could see lot of rw pages posting on the burger kings in his car, this is so true....
That is the hypocrisy man, Congress was in power for 70 years, Indira Gandhi declared emergency to stay in power , with bunch of other things, so I mean suddenly the same party is saying democracy is in danger, I mean if there is they were hugely responsible....
Why can't they protest like that for causes like better infrastructure, pollution or other 1000 problems that Indians face on a day to day basis ??
There is hypocrisy lying there somewhere
Where @priyankagandhi scales the gate at Kingsway Camp to get to her brother - day long protest against ECI and Gyanesh Kumar ends with these dramatic visuals
But I mean I don't understand the point, let's leave out this video, but his other videos does show solid evidence (news articles etc) , so how can he be a self-hating Indian, insn't a huge insult...
Akash Banerjee is a prime example of what a self-hating Indian is. Gosh using Fuentes as a point of evidence!! Matlab kis kisam ke log hai is duniya mein.
