@Ang_Pavlova My in-laws arrived a week and a half ago at JFK in NYC. Customs agents were very nice and helpful to them. When they did not understand what the customs agent were asking them the customs agent called and asked me the questions. They received the 2 year parole.
@Amber_N_Nickell@DrGoose1@DHSgov@USCIS WOW! I am so sorry this happened to you. That is not fair! I am hoping it all works out for you and you do not need to go through all of it again! Wishing all the best.
@USCIS Uniting for Ukraine beneficiaries are still waiting to receive their email on next steps after we were approved as sponsors. Can you please provide some info on this? When I call USCIS they have no information for me.
@RSchaeberle My in-laws speak often of Kherson because it is close to Mykolaiv. It is very scary what has happened in Kherson. Mykolaiv is under constant attack as well. We have been trying so long to get them out. We live in upstate NY.
@d2pGoon@RSchaeberle@USCIS Hi James, it will be up to the sponsor to provide. The sponsor if financially responsible for the beneficiary (the person or persons you want to bring).
@RSchaeberle Exactly! Our friends brought their Mom to Canada, it took about a week and a half start to finish. She is there now safe and has free health care and other support.
@RSchaeberle Yes, this is our third time applying for them. We applied for a visitor visa back in March, humanitarian parole the beginning of April, and now Uniting for Ukraine. Its been such a process. Already looking up health insurance options for them.. $$.
@RSchaeberle@USCIS Yes, I will let you know as I receive more information. I created a Twitter account just for this reason to connect with people, its the only place I have been able to find some answers by talking to people on here!
@RSchaeberle@USCIS Yes, I am hoping you hear very soon! The waiting is so hard and I feel like no one is giving us answers! We are trying to bring my in-laws, they are in Mykolaiv, Ukraine.
@RSchaeberle@USCIS I have since been waiting for my beneficiaries to receive their email to create an account and follow next steps. They cannot do anything until they receive that email. Very frustrating.
@RSchaeberle@USCIS I just kept checking my USCIS account and it said the I-134 was confirmed. When I went to 'documents' I was able to see the pdf version of the letter stating that USCIS approved our I-134.
@RSchaeberle@USCIS When did you submit the I-134? I submitted on 4/27 and was notified on 5/3 that we were approved to be sponsors. I am not waiting for my beneficiaries to receive their emails with next steps...
