It is necessary to enforce a quota of Canadian content because it allows for smaller, new artists to get a larger audience to be able to grow. By supporting smaller Canadian artists, you are also supporting the Canada as a country. #MUNMUS2011

I don't agree with Wald's assessment because I enjoy covers of popular songs that are widely used for live entertainment in small areas (bars, weddings, etc). Having the connection between the artist & the audience in a small gathering is better than the record. #MUNMUS2011

@beck_gould I agree with this! Before streaming sites, it was harder to buy certain artist's cds in electronics stores because they had a small variety of albums by popular artists on the radio. Streaming sites are more accessible to all sorts of music vs. what's sold in store. #MUNMUS2011

Music streaming apps are ways of easily accessing a database of music affordably. These apps are much more accessible than having to pay for an entire album for each artist. It also allows a safe space for people in the LGBTQ+ to access music and publish music safely #MUNMUS2011

I agree that the popular music industry keeps listeners passive because the music can be played repeatedly without much thought or can be used as noise while doing tasks (ie: music playing in a store). 2/2 #MUNMUS2011
