I did a thing! Well, I did two things: became a PhD *candidate* & wrote a blog post about what's to come (hint: more blog posts). Check it out, share your thoughts, and subscribe on the welcome page if you like what you read! https://t.co/nPEv4nsVx0
Hey! Have questions on riding your bike around town with your family (yes, including your furry family)? Introducing our monthly column, Family (Biking) Matters, by @HillFamilyBikin https://t.co/PICHqnUll7
@wmata@wmataGM I watched a 74 bus pass someone waiting at the 6 St SW & K St SW stop today. I have no idea why they didn't stop - the person was waving - but please remind your drivers to pause for a moment to check for riders before they continue on, especially in this heat.
Jamya was 20 years old when she was killed by a driver who ran a red light in downtown DC. The Council can fund a program to prevent others from experiencing similar tragedies: https://t.co/RFWf1hTOyl

Traffic deaths have gone up 93% in 5 years in DC. That incl. on CT Ave.
Kershbaum called it โnuance.โ I call it cowardice. A total lack of vision & leadership at the very top: @MayorBowser.

Curious if other women/people who identify as women in #bikedc have had these types of experiences? Makes me want to pilot a study in the DMV to measure/track misogynist aggressions/abuses toward female cyclers/micromobility users... https://t.co/RrDL3Wtos3
Listening to this DDOT performance oversight hearing and all the testimonies about congestion pricing. This would not increase support among car drivers, but I really want to rename it to privilege pricing. It is a privilege to drive and should be priced as such.
@BikeGillian Maybe you could remove the white/blue boxes w/ "safest mode of transpo" and "one of the most sustainable modes of travel" since those take-aways are apparent in the graphics/titles/red ovals themselves? Also agree re: removing image of family in car.
@DavidZipper Exactly why @jlrhart started this petition to get @NHTSAgov to include a vehicleโs risk of killing a pedestrian in their 5-star safety rating system - it's less than 13k signatures away from the 50k goal, plenty of time to add your name. https://t.co/InG4yP7y8W
@1800GOTJUNK ? I sure do! This parking job looks like junk to me (as do these rear plates in need of upgrading). Boggles my mind that people park in a bike lane *even when* they could ostensibly just fully park in that (non)parking zone. Get your folks in line, literally. @DCDPW
We marked #WDoR2023 on Sunday in a slightly unconventional way: we gathered on a playground, had donuts & coffee, remembered those weโve lost, and called for safe streets across our region. It was heartbreaking and beautiful.
Letโs see our world thru the eyes of children.
