Honestly, I have very little confidence in Sarvam’s current GTM motion.
Their models are genuinely good, but their sales and customer response process needs serious improvement. I’ve reached out multiple times for sales requests, SLA guarantees, and related discussions, and none of those inquiries received a meaningful response.
Now they seem focused on opening an SF office, which feels like another sign of the classic “build in India, sell in the US” mindset.
If Indian AI companies want to win globally, they should start by treating Indian customers with urgency and respect. Sarvam has strong technology, but if they prioritize only a handful of customers, they’ll leave a lot of growth on the table.
Investors in Sarvam should encourage them to fix this. Their sales could skyrocket if they served Indian customers seriously.
Running a small startup is cool because one moment you are building some amazing new tech that your users love, and the next you are unexpectedly doing battle with the tax authorities of India
@ganeshsonawane Amazing products! Don’t let the noise about pricing distract you. I’ve tried fairly expensive arm mounts before, and many of them turned out to be plasticky, ugly, and fragile. I’ve placed an order for a single arm mount from Frido, hoping for the best. Please keep innovating. If the product is genuinely good, then don’t worry too much about the price.
Curious question for @isro and @Indiametdept: as India expands satellites, Doppler radars, and AI/ML weather models, what would it take to make hyperlocal rain forecasts significantly more reliable? You have 0% predictions rate for Pune’s weather…
