The State's outstanding liabilities have reached ₹5.07 lakh crore, accounting for 35.5% of GSDP—well above the national average. With 77.6% of revenue receipts absorbed by salaries, pensions, and interest payments, the fiscal space available for development and public investment has narrowed considerably.

As the Home Minister, I have demanded an urgent report regarding the parole granted to the accused in the Periya murder case.
In a democratic country like India, the brutal murder of two young men solely because of their involvement in a political party can never be tolerated under any circumstances. This is my duty not only as the Home Minister but also as a father who has children of that same age.
The fact that the accused in such a heinous murder case are walking around freely without any remorse sends a completely wrong message to civil society.
This government will maintain zero tolerance not just toward the Periya murder case, but toward all political murders.
Let us debate politics vigorously and clash ideologically. But if you take up weapons, prison awaits you.

Cabinet has decided to denotify the land acquired for the #SilverLineProject. Thousands of families have faced prolonged hardship, with restrictions even on selling their own properties. The government will also take steps to withdraw cases registered against people who protested the project. We remain committed to justice, relief, and restoring public confidence.

Honorarium hikes for #Anganwadi workers, cooking workers, pre-primary teachers and ayas have also been approved. Free #KSRTC travel for women will come into effect from June 15.
