Get out your calendars! The motors are out of quarantine and we plan to assemble in person on 8th May 2026 at University of Warwick Campus for a fun day on motors and the filaments they walk along. More details on registration, travel bursaries etc. will be revealed soon.
Chengchen Wu presented FRAP-SR at the #mmc2025 workshop on “Optogenetics in the SR regime’. Thanks to @RoyalMicroSoc for offering the opportunity to host the workshop.
Excited to speak on actin & organelle transport @ #BiochemEvent@BiochemSoc (Thurs, Session V, OC022) - thanks to @Official_BSCB for supporting my trip!
Bit of a fiery start (literally, city centre fire 😬), but here’s to a smoother rest of the week.
Also, the conference was fantastic - filled with stunning science and engaging discussions. Grateful to the sponsors and organisers for bringing such an inspiring event together - already sad that it’s over 😔.

Won the best postdoc poster award!! 🎉
Thank you @Official_BSCB, @Co_Biologists and my amazing supervisor - Dr Alistair Hume, who constantly inspires, supports and challenges me to grow.

Now on to attending the #UKmembranetraffickingmeeting2024 in London on Monday!
Pleased to share that our contribution for a collaborative study led by Prof. Eugen Kerkhoff is out! If you’re interested in the evolution of SPIRE and actomyosin transport of exocytic vesicles, go check it out 🤩. Thrilled to have been a part of this research! 👏🏼
Our latest: An actin-myosin driven exocytic transport mechanism preceding animals? Nice collaborative work led by Eugen Kerkhoff including beautiful choanoflagellate overexpression studies by @aishwarya12ravi out now in @CommsBio. @MSarsCentre@UiBmatnat https://t.co/4SI6hMGxkk
