@PaladRa73677 Fast Bowlers suffer more since the bowling workload in their teens happen to them before their bodies especially the spine is strong physically which happened to the likes of Matt Henry & Pat Cummins. Bumrah faced this issue later. Henry & Bumrah had to undergo spine surgeries.
@bung99240 Contact sports like Rugby codes & American Football arearguably more tougher on the bodies than Football/Soccer. Similarly Cricketers can afford to play in 40 degree heat since it's a lot lesser intensive than Football or Rugby. Each games has its own pros & cons. Rest my case.
@bung99240 You first tweeted that on a cricket field the two batters only play. I countered that with how fast bowlers suffer for what they do. Obviously running fitness is better in football & other contact sports. Batters can afford a bit of plump if their hand eye coordination is good.
@bung99240 You should do the same about fast bowlers. Tell me how many footballers/soccer players underwent spinal fusion surgeries for spine stress fractures?
@Fancricket12 And to do that after undergoing spinal fusion surgery involving titanium cable & screws for stress fracture of the spine before making international debut is exemplary!
@bung99240 I can argue running/running fitness is an easier thing than suffering frustrating injuries & lay offs. Fast bowlers faced as much as risks of a stress fracture in the spine needing spinal fusion surgeries as contact sports like Rugby Codes & American Football players.
@gauravsabnis Sachin scored 40 off 44 balls & Yuvraj 59 off 66 balls after Laxman got out. Dravid should have spelt out clearly to Sachin to score his 200 reasonably quick so as to get Pakistan bat out at least 20 overs in the day. Pakistan got to bat 16 overs BTW.
@bung99240@gauravsabnis So fast bowlers suffer back, knee, ankle surgeries or fielders twisting their ankles or dislocating fingers do nothing on a cricket field sometimes in 40 degree temperatures?
@Salman_2911 The biggest Sports broadcasting player in India Jiostar didn't bother to bid for even 2030 Football WC which will be more viewer friendly & Zee is paying $ 60 million for 2026-2030 FIFA WC cycle. Jiostar is paying $ 950-975 million to the BCCI for the IPL. Now do the maths.
@vkisaSpartan@VizagPanda@JayShah There is no problem with Karanataka Govt assisting the KSCA in building one stadium in Bengaluru to replace the old Chinnaswamy which can't be expanded. Maharashtra is planning the same in Navi Mumbai for MCA. 1 stadium for 1 State Cricket Association. No problem here.
@vkisaSpartan@VizagPanda@JayShah UP CA will now have to host it's matches in Kanpur,Lucknow,
Varanasi, upcoming stadium in Gorakhpur along other cricket stadiums in Greater Noida & one at Saifai gathering dust not used by UPCA. May be some IPL games of LSG can be held in Varanasi. But overall not prudent.
@vkisaSpartan@VizagPanda@JayShah Govt. of Uttar Pradesh bought land for the Varanasi Stadium & L & T won the contract to construct the stadium. Can't see the role of BCCI here.
@dott_dott1357 You won't get it if you have cursory Google searches. Read up the annual financial statements of BCCI to partake in informed opinions. I rest my case.
@dott_dott1357 A breakaway Premier League in 1991 gave the clubs' the dominant control. Such a seismic event can't be ruled out in this franchise era cricket with Indian franchises investing in every damn cricket T20I league in the cricketing world.
@dott_dott1357 A sum total of 1600 off crores was spent in 2024-2025 on domestic cricket,A tours, salaries, funds for state associations etc. for men's & women's cricket in India. BCCI 's surplus even after just 20 % share of IPL is 2000 odd crores after meeting domestic cricket expenses.
@dott_dott1357 Who knows IPL franchises will negotiate with the BCCI from position of strength in a decade or so like Football clubs are doing currently with the FA!! Players income should have a uptick since they are the ones who are bringing crowds & sponsorship s.
@dott_dott1357 Compare that with PL where FA reports an income of $ 750 million when PL revenue alone worldwide is $ 7.5 billion a year. BCCI's revenue share with IPL franchises is lop sided which will be contested in future.
@dott_dott1357 BCCI would still have 2000 odd crores surplus after Income Tax, Contingency reserves & all current expenditure instead of the current 3500 crores even if it gives an additional 2700 crores to IPL franchises every year. Refer BCCI's annual financial statement of 2024-2025.
