Today marks a milestone for climate action in #SriLanka. The National Climate Finance Strategy 2025–2030 has officially been launched coinciding with International Day of #ClimateAction

Led by the @MoFSriLanka in collaboration with @UNDP #lka through the @CFN_UNDP project - funded by the Government of the United Kingdom @UKinSriLanka - the strategy provides a comprehensive roadmap to leverage and channel climate investments effectively, supporting Sri Lanka’s transition to a carbon net zero pathway.

I am excited to attend the launch of Climate Zero Foundation
Sri Lanka 🇱🇰.

Climate Zero Foundation will mobilize civil activist from all over the world´s most beatiful island. The Foundation will protect the rainforests and mountains, the mangroves and wetlands and all the cultural heritage of Sri Lanka. It will help Sri Lanka go into solar and wind energy and electric scooters and cars.

The Climate Zero Foundation will build upon the eminent work done by ZeroPlastic Movement Sri Lanka and its founder Nishshanka De Silva . They have mobilized thousands of of youth to clean plastic from beaches and nature across the island. It has been a joy for me to take part in some of clean ups.
