.@AskABlackDoc received a @bcmhouston PEAR award from a BCM student that she inspired.
"Excellent teacher & role model. Despite the busy emergency room setting, Dr. Wilson dedicated time to optimize my learning...She modeled how to approach difficult conversations."
Please read the most recent SAEM Pulse article in Diversity and Inclusion by our own Dr. Mide Adeleye (@md_mide) and Dr. Tamara Wilson (@AskABlackDoc) titled “Misdiagnosing Imposter Syndrome”.

@Dr_jAimethekids Last comment cuz I’m sure you’ll block me for disagreeing with you. But as someone who does research in “trauma informed feedback in med Ed of black trainees” I’m a little shocked that your comments in this space would be so traumatizing - especially toward another trainee 🤷🏾♀️
@Dr_jAimethekids All of twitter is entitled to perceive your behavior as it fits their world view too. And right now, its giving “hurt” and “bitter” vibes. Not sure who hurt you in your resident/fellow experience but I sure hope you’re not out here giving advice to med students
@Dr_jAimethekids “Isn’t willing to see the system for what is it” is a REACH sis. You don’t know this man. His comment wasn’t an inditement on the system but a reflection of a personal experience.
@Dr_jAimethekids I don’t see how someone loving their residency experience makes them unqualified to give advice to med students. And “tap dancing” ?? Come on sis. While I may agree with u (somewhat) on resident exploitation, the argument would be way more effective without the personal attacks
@olsonplanner Standing in one place, focusing on one thing for hours on end. I think I found my happy place in EM where I can handle 15 things at once. Also surgeons are mean 🙃
I’m a little late to the party but better late than never. I am currently an M4 and successfully matched into Pathology and soon will be a first-gen-physician. I’m grateful for this #medgradwishlist. Thank you for your support and following my journey.

@DineeMD hey 👋🏾 I’m an EM resident in Houston, TX. Trying to DM you about an event on Transplants in the Black Community but Twitter says I don’t have permission. Can you please follow me so we can chat offline?
