His wife is doing a master’s degree at Cambridge at the age of 80 & he’s feeling sorry for himself! A short period of role reversal is too much for him. As a Cambridge graduate myself, much of what he says is inaccurate. Grateful he’s not my husband! 🙈 https://t.co/dcWWkKIwSB
That glorious moment, after being miserably, depressingly and hopelessly obese/overweight for decades and your doctor tells you NOT to lose any more weight!!! 💪💃🥊❤️😍
I'm collaborating with Oxford University in their research into mindfulness and relationships. If you're interested in being part of this pioneering research, please apply below. It doesn't take up much time! Thanks. 😃
2. I'm excited & slightly scared to say - that I've today been offered, & have accepted, a place to train as a mindfulness meditation teacher with The Oxford Mindfulness Foundation, which is affiliated with Oxford University. You just can't keep this old dog down for too long!🙏
1.They say "necessity is the mother of invention" & the silver lining in my ongoing illness of the last two & a half months has been that it "forced" me to take up meditation again, & follow a weekly course in Mindfulness meditation & another one in Mindful Self-Compassion.
@Art0fThinking No it's what you do with that time the helps to heal, but in some cases, such as surviving the death of your child - healing can never be complete. My son died 39 yrs ago & I have a wonderful life today, but that wound will always remain.
I've met FAR more spiritual people in the rooms of AA during the last 29 years than I have in any church! It seems that nothing has changed since I was emotionally, spiritually and physically abused at Convent School in Glasgow in the sixties and seventies!!!
Hubby's stepdad died 3 wks ago. Left on a trolly in the corridor for 2 days, fell & had 2 brain bleeds. Hubby told by church that he wasn't giving his stepdad "the funeral he deserved" & his mum would be upset! Disgusted! Another nail in the coffin for organised religion. 🤬
I still may be under the weather, as the saying goes, but there are far worse places to feel unwell! Grateful to be living here and benefiting from 25 c heat, in my garden today. 😎
THIS is what’s happening in one of the Jewish cemeteries in my home town of Glasgow!! Unspeakable, mass desecration of graves. And they said it could never happen again??? Well IT IS happening again. We’re back in the 1930s. Nothing has been learned!

@OfficialALW Well done on speaking out courageously about your alcoholism, Andrew! I lost my son in a car fire & I too am a member of the greatest fellowship on the planet. Coming up to 29 yrs sober. We CAN do it - one day at a time! Wishing you many contented sober years! x🥰
Happy Valentine’s Day to my extraordinary husband Peter, the love of my life. There isn’t a single day that I don’t thank my lucky stars that such a very good man and I, amidst the mess that can sometimes be life, found each other 24 years ago. Our love deepens daily. 😍😍
