There’s a time hubby and I were at the airport. We got into the picture and selfie moment. We took quite a number of them. All nice and laughing. Upon viewing them he told me to delete some coz he didn’t like how he looked in them. I insisted and said No. He insisted and I also insisted it’s my phone.
He asked me only one question: So u can’t listen to me if I say I don’t like them?
I knew there and then we’ve now crossed into the husband mode and outa friend mode no-more. I immediately handed over the phone and he deleted the ones he didn’t feel okay with.
That’s all she’s trying to say here.
The ability to discern who is talking at what moment and acting accordingly.
Hope this example throws more light..
I suspect that this Carte Blanche episode spear headed the recall.
We have to thank Sis @clairmawisa and her team otherwise we (as Pharmacists) would be selling contaminated product to the public.

A serious warning to young boys going to the big cities, to start their tertiary career...
...ek se vir jou... basop!!!
I've previously written a piece directed at young girls, to warn them about the dangers of men in the big cities...
...it's time to warn the lads. Big cities are wild & you really need to pace yourself.
Unlike girls/women... boys don't have the (mis)fortune of being hunted by rich older women who buy them free drinks, uber them around & try to get into their pants... altho this is changing.
Even more, it's both older women & older men who may want young boy's fresh bums.
The more important considerations for young boys are:
- Alcohol
- Drugs
- Casual sex
- Bunking lectures
- Crime
Once you have freedom & don't have mommy & daddy bugging you, many succumb to substances & dumb decisions.
Alcohol addiction & drug addiction are rife... from having fun with mates in the first few weeks of tertiary, to a lifelong addiction that destroys ur body, ur mind, pushes you to crimes & destroys the relationships you have with loved ones.
Casual unprotected sex also leads to sexually-transmitted infections & unwanted pregnancies. That promising top student in high school, is now taking ARVs for the rest of his life.
Having to drop out early, to get a job, so he can take care of a child he has from a night of reckless fun... believing her when she said she wasn't ovulating or that she was on contraceptives.
Many boys leave tertiary or don't get to finish due to crime... assaulting other gents at the clubs or wherever they are drinking, forcing themselves onto girls & being jailed for rape, selling drugs to fund their own addiction habits, stealing laptops/textbooks & other things... to get by, to pay fees, to impress girls.
You're at tertiary to get an education. To network for your future career. To stay healthy by joining a gym & a sports team. To make ur family proud.
You're not there to compete with employed men & rich men... to impress girls that just want money. Girls that just want a night of sexual fun & will move on to the next in a week's time. Girls who will shatter your heart to pieces when they cheat on you with working men.
You're a kid. You must not buy girls wigs. You must not pay for girls' nails. You must not spend money you don't have. Using registration money & textbook to impress a girl who will be a tragic memory in ur life, 5yrs from now.
Stay focused. Stay in your lane. Be careful of the flashing lights. Don't go to clubs you cannot afford. Don't drink if you can - or drink responsibly. Don't hang around the wrong crowd. Don't try to be too cool. Don't hang with rich kids, if you cannot maintain that lifestyle.
Some of these rich kids snort cocaine, crash cars & live in paid-up flats... when they drop out in first year, mom & dad will get them into cushy jobs... you'll have to catch a bus back to ur village or township... & try hustle a job at Shoprite or driving a taxi. Your lives are not the same. Don't play games with these kids.
And please... if you're going to choose a partner at tertiary, go for responsible girls from good families. Girls that go to church every Sunday. Girls who frequent the library. Girls who attend all their lectures. Girls who don't carry expensive handbags & who dress simply. Girls who have a plan & are focused.
Yes, they are boring. Yes, they aren't hot. Yes, they are not in crazy demand. But in 3 to 5 years' time... they'll be gold. And all the "hot girls" will be carrying blessers' kids, nursing STI's, dropped out of school, out of shape, drugged up & expired. Choose wisely.
Choose the girls who you share noodles with. Watch pirated movies with in ur res room. Take walks with on campus. Debate current affairs with. Girls from good families.
Stay woke majita. Big brother Penzo loves you. Don't be a statistic. Don't shit on good opportunities you have coz of substances & bad decisions. Goodluck with the year ahead.
Sho.
