@porcarorama I have always know that "Europe will not be made all at once, or according to a single plan. It will be built through concrete achievements which first create a de facto solidarity."
I have seen the concrete achievements. But I am yet to see solidarity that is de facto.

@LorenzoMarchese I believe there is a place in the EU for every nation whose people demonstrate the European spirit - "being conscious of belonging to a cultural family and to have a willingness to serve that community in the spirit of total mutuality.”
@AdamDuboiss The reason is because compromise is what makes Europe a Union.
This is not to excuse those EU and national leaders who act like we are still bound by a European Coal and Steel Community. You know who you are.
@ilicnat "Beware those who charm you to sleep. Beware those who would lull you into a false sense of security. Beware the purveyors of empty reassurances on these measures."
@Ahrykov@EUCouncil It is not delusional when there is a spirit of compromise among nations. Unfortunately this only happens when there is little at stake or a crisis. But as my friend Jean Monnet said: "Europe will be forged in crises and will be the sum of the solutions adopted for those crises".
