OpenAI pausing a major model over safety and Anthropic releasing a faster Claude, which approach do you prefer—caution or speed in AI development?
Move fast on capability where the risk profile is well-characterized and controllable; slow down deliberately where new agentic behaviors introduce poorly understood failure modes.
OpenAI’s pause on Astra reflects a legitimate response to observed regressions in critical alignment properties.
Anthropic’s release of a faster, cheaper Sonnet 5.5 reflects the value of continuous iteration and broader access.
Both instincts contain important truths. The field’s success will depend on institutions that can hold both truths at once rather than oscillating between them.
I understand your point, and men can definitely face safety issues too. Personally, though, I feel men’s are much safer at night, even on darker and quieter roads, compared with women and girls. It’s not about who is safer it’s about everyone feeling safe. Even today, in some areas, women and girls don’t feel safe even when they’re with men. So I do think they can be more vulnerable to certain risks, both at night and sometimes even during the day.
People who voted already know why they voted. Why does the media keep questioning them about ……? Ask them about the issues they were elected on, Jin issue par unhe vote mila hai, unse usi issue par sawaal kijiye aur usi par unka kaam aur jawab milega . Everything else is just noise fake news for them.
@NickpxJ AI can understand and summarize information, but building a Google-scale real-time index of the entire web is a much harder infrastructure problem.
Google owns the infrastructure to crawl, index, rank, and retrieve the entire web at massive scale .
Indian equities ended higher on Monday 05/10 today, snapping a four-session losing streak. Google Pauses Open-Source Bug Bounty Due to AI-Generated “Slop”
Google has temporarily halted new product vulnerability submissions to its Open Source Software Vulnerability Rewards Program (OSS VRP) as of October 1, 2026. The pause is driven by a surge in automated, mostly invalid AI-generated reports that overwhelmed reviewers. An update is expected in Q1 2027. Supply-chain reports and other Google bug bounty programs remain active. This highlights the growing problem of AI flooding security disclosure pipelines.
