A FIFA World Cup nation is playing in town tonight and this is where fans sit at Sree Kanteerava after paying Rs.3000
Stained, cracked, peeling seats. If we want full stadiums for Indian football, the basics can't be an afterthought.

I saw the goverment was making an app named Saathi. As a Tamil guy reading this, I only knew what Saathi meant and not Sanchari.
So I imagined how it would be if the government made an app for finding your life partner. Took a little help from @Lovable and @GeminiApp and re-imagined @IRCTCofficial
Rail-Mate: Your Co-Passenger for Life OR IRCTC Rishta
A Dating App by the Government (IRCTC-D)
The Vision
Forget swiping right based on filtered selfies. Rail-Mate leverages the entire database of India's railway travelers to match individuals based on the most authentic, stressful, and often romantic life experience: train travel. The motto: Find someone who understands your wait.
I. Visual Aesthetic: Classic, Bureaucratic Charm
The app's design is a deliberate throwback to the core IRCTC experience: a functional, slightly cluttered, yet oddly comforting interface.
Color Palette: The primary colors are the classic Indian Railways Blue (RAL 5002), an official Beige/Khaki for backgrounds, and high-contrast White/Yellow text, reminiscent of printed PNR tickets and station signage.
Font: A blocky, no-nonsense monospace font is used for all profile data, mimicking the printout on a reservation chart.
Icons: Instead of hearts and stars, matching is represented by the "Reserved" status symbol. Profile verification status is shown with a green "Confirmed (CNF)" stamp.
Profile Image Frame: All profile pictures (which must be a non-filtered, government-approved-style photo) are framed by a simple TTE name-tag border.
II. Compatibility Questions: The Rail-Mate Icebreakers
Instead of generic questions, Rail-Mate uses railway-themed prompts to gauge compatibility:
1. The Berth Preference Test
Q: Which is your ideal berth: Lower, Middle, or Upper? A: "Lower. I hate climbing." A: "Upper. I hate sharing the view."
Match Logic: A Lower-Upper match suggests a harmonious relationship where one controls the floor and the other the ceiling.
Two 'Middle' preferences are an immediate red flag (too much compromise needed)
2. The Pantry Car Dilemma
Q: On a 24-hour journey, do you: A: Pack a tiffin for every meal. A: Live exclusively on Pantry Car Soup and Cutlets. A: Fast (Only drink water).
Match Logic: Determines spending habits and attitude towards food safety/adventure.
3. The Emergency Chain Test
Q: You realize you forgot your charger five minutes before departure.
Do you: A: Accept fate and enjoy the digital detox. A: Panic-pull the Emergency Chain.
A: Buy a ₹1000 charger from a platform vendor
Match Logic: Measures responsibility, financial discipline, and propensity for rash actions.
4. The Favorite Railway Station
Q: Which station truly holds your heart?
Match Logic: Determines appreciation for heritage vs. modern efficiency. A match based on the same favorite station indicates a shared traumatic (or lovely) memory.
IV. Core Mechanics
The Swipe: Swiping is replaced by tapping the "Confirm Seat (CNF)" button on a profile you like.
The Match: A match is called "Confirmed Booking."
The Chat: Once matched, the chat window is styled like a PNR status checker. Messages can only be sent during the time slots that both individuals are simultaneously "traveling" or have "Confirmed Bookings" in their past 12 months (ensuring they are active travelers).
Premium Feature (Rail-Plus): Pay a premium fee to unlock the "Tatkal Mode."
This allows users to see who has viewed their profile in the last 60 seconds (high stress, high reward matching).
Auto-Match Feature:
Users who have frequently shared the same train and route (e.g., both commute from Bengaluru to Chennai every month) are automatically shown to each other first, classified as "Reserved (R)" for each other.
This concept captures the essence of using unexpected data for dating, while maintaining the humor of a government entity attempting to launch a social app
If you listened to Gautam Gambhir's press conference, you might come out of it with a feeling of guilt, thinking you were also personally responsible for India losing 0-3 against New Zealand and 0-2 against South Africa. 😅
Have a little thought. Just voicing it out here, since this is the first of its kind at the IPL
Two members of our travelling fan community @longropearmy had tickets for PBKS vs DC in Dharamshala on May 8. The match began, but due to the escalated Indo-Pak situation, it couldn’t be completed. No result. No points. Now it's being replayed entirely in Jaipur on May 24.
If the match had resumed in Dharamshala, our tickets would've still been valid. But since it’s moved to a new city, it's a new sale. Same match, two sets of tickets — but no refund for those who bought the first.
Not a rant — just a small ask for fairness. When fans pay, show up, and the match is never completed (and later replayed elsewhere), a refund or gesture feels right. Hope @DISTRICT_tickets and @IPL take note.

I never wanted to do this but left with no choice.
I'd be grateful if you could amplify this post...
I am actively looking for any kind of work-from-home role related to cricket content(as I'm bedridden),which would help me stay afloat financially while managing my health...

As a content creator who travels on my money to venues and buys my own ticket 🎟, the last thing I want is people/big accounts using my content and passing it off as theirs.
Please use it, if you can credit the original creator.
If you want to use it, and then you tend to ignore the requests on the video/photo, it's natural for a content creator to get upset.
During one of the WC games @mufaddal_vohra copied a video of mine and passed it off as his own. I replied, my friends replied but there was no response to the video
I don't appreciate my content being copied and not have any response coming after complaining.
As a result, just to set the precedent, I am going legal on this, so that people don't take content creators copyright lightly
