Public Speaker, spoken word performer, author, and mental health awareness advocate. I bring that awareness on stages, in classrooms, and on my YouTube channel.
@rwandawewant I am an avid mental health awareness advocate and spoken word performer, and I love this so much. I travel the country trying to bring that awareness on stages, in classrooms, hospitals, and on my YouTube channel, so I get excited when I see other advocates. ๐
Even 20 years ago the idea of #TransgenerationalTrauma wouldโve been laughed at. But in the ever-intwining worlds of modern psychology and medical technology humanity is discovering a whole new layer of understanding of #mentalhealth within our very genes.

Today I close the door to the past, open the door to the future, take a deep breath, step on through, and start a new chapter in my life. ๐โค๏ธ

What we don't always realize is when we let go of something, we make room for something else to grow. It shows us who we are and what we're capable of. We find out what really matters, and who we were all along. ๐ช๐ฝ๐

@CatLadySaraAR I once saw this #family that would only give handmade #gifts to each other, and I thought that was awesome. There's so many great ways that we can express our #love for each other, but I think the simplest, and best, is to just spend time together. ๐โค๏ธ
The #holidayseason can be a #stressful time for a lot of people. It might not even be just the #stress of the #holidays themselves; some people #suffer from #seasonaldepression. Regardless of the reasons, this time can be difficult for many people. Take care of yourselves.
People are the POTENTIAL for #truelove, that's all, because once you let #love in, it'll never leave. But don't confuse the message with the messenger. Messengers make mistakes, get lost, run away, even die. But their message (open your heart) comes from #life itself. Hear it. โค๏ธ
Years ago those reminders just felt empty. I'd remind myself for hours, days, weeks, and nothing changed. Now they still feel that way sometimes, and it still takes countless repetitions, but it doesn't take nearly as long for me to believe them.

Sometimes people say things that remind me that I'm not like them, and it feels like there's something wrong with me. But then I remind myself that there's no such thing as "normal," and I'm not wrong for being different. ๐โค๏ธ

For #VeteransDay I wrote an article about the duality of thanking #Veterans for their service. If you know a #veteran who might like this, please tag them or share this to show them #YouAreNotAlone on this #VeteransDay2022. โค๏ธ๐

@honeygummykrl Yeah, social media, especially Twitter, can be really bad for our #mentalhealth. Good job having the strength to take care of yourself. โค๏ธ๐

@Luca21181472@morning_warmth@asparagoid It's definitely a double-edged sword. When used responsibly, it can be a great tool, but unfortunately there's always those who will be irresponsible.
