The proper employment of Torah for all believers is:
1. Don't remove it from the Bible as if it was done away with.
2. Teach it all. All scripture is profitable.
3. Afford believers the grace to grow in it throughout their lives without condemnation.
4. Prioritize weightier matters. Committing sexual sin is far more grievous than not wearing fringes, for example.
5. There's no condemnation.
@Joel7Richardson I agree with you about the gifts and about the aversion to today’s Charismania. Who do you find to be doing it “right”? Or at least, sensibly and biblically.
@rabbriansamuel Conservatives favor Facebook, far-right and most of the Left favor X. Different culture, different expectations. In short, Facebook is more personal information based, and X is more outrage based.
@SS53611912 This assumes all covenants have the same purpose, or are contrary to one another. Which is incorrect on both fronts. Covenants are often supplementary or successive; the Abrahamic did not replace the Noahic, nor the Davidic the Mosaic.
@Chuckyboyn My my, this is a silly response. “Yeah, you quoted John’s Gospel on what Christ said, but it’s from John’s POV so it doesn’t count.” I guess if you weren’t able to move the goalposts you wouldn’t have a point to make.
I keep Shabbat because Yeshua did.
I eat kosher because Yeshua did.
I celebrate the biblical holidays because Yeshua did.
Striving to be Christlike includes walking as He walked. And these are part of that walk.
@gizzledancer@John_Rowan_J@rabbriansamuel Paul says in Galatians 4 that Christ was “born of a woman, born under the law.” If He broke the law, then He sinned (1 John 3:4), and if that were the case, He would be neither God nor the perfect, unblemished lamb.

@ErinNewtonTX Well done on your presentation!
My only gripe is, I would put “chased by a water moccasin” into the category of ancient serpent myths, too…😅
So question for the #SBLAAR24 folks: should I plan to ship back home the books I’ll be picking up, or would I be better off just bringing an extra empty suitcase and checking them at the airport?
