This morning, Pope Leo celebrated the Resurrection of Jesus on Easter in St. Peter's Square with tens of thousands of pilgrims before extending his Urbi et Orbi Blessing.
Today is the first Sunday of Advent. Remember that true hope is found in the assurance of Christ's coming. It is a time of waiting, when we prepare our hearts by doing good, showing love, and trusting in God's promise bring peace and salvation.
Thank you to the Life Skills department and the students from @AssumptionH for decorating the Christmas tree at the Catholic Education Centre. Your care and creativity brought warmth to our space and reminded us of the joy that comes from working together as a community. We appreciate the time and heart you put into making the season brighter for everyone who walks through our doors.
We need a new bond between the young and the elderly. May those with more life experience water the shoots of hope of those who are still growing. May we come to know the beauty of life and build a fraternal society. #GrandparentsAndTheElderly

Lent begins today for Christians. It is a time of hope and renewal. It invites perspective. I need to see myself not in terms of my desires but in terms of how I am becoming who God wants me to be in generous service to others.

Let us continue to work for this mission with fervor and commitment so that generations to come will have the opportunity to be educated in what is true, good and beautiful.
The dark signifies the absence of love, for light is love. Accordingly, there is darkness in us when Jesus, “the true light” does not come to us, because his presence repels all darkness (Commentary on John 6).
