I believe every time you finish writing/editing a book, something snaps in your brain and everything you learned writing that book leaves your system so that when you start a new book it always feels like youโre starting from scratch and have no idea how to go about it.
Did i ever tell you about the one time my current fiance and I went on a double date and we asked how they'd got together and they explained that they'd both been so bummed that we turned them down individually that they'd agreed to just date each other? Ultimate flex
@RebeccaFKenney1 I spend a day reading and reviewing the books we consider acquiring at my publishing house. I don't even read the whole book, I don't have time. If i could write a review a day, I'd have to charge $400+ to pay my rent
@RebeccaFKenney1 Do they actually read the whole book? I understand that the price is steep but if they were to actually read the whole book, $100 wouldn't be enough to live off unless they always have consist business and read monster fast. If it's their job, they need a living wage
When going on vacation, it's important to pack a book. It's actually better to bring 2 books, since you might read quickly. If you want options, though, 3 books is ideal. Then again, if you read a book a day, you'll need 4 books. Really, you should pack 5 b

Why are there only like 10 wedding dress patterns from the 80s available online?? I can't be the first poor person to get married? Do the shops have monopoly? Is there a secret fountain somewhere I can't find?
It's been a while since I've read any original writing advice, but dangit if my editor @dustinhitz isn't good:
"If the reader is asking "why" it's good to have the characters ask as well, so at least the reader doesn't feel like they missed something."

@HorlockWarlock Oh i almost with this was the context it was used in. It was more the context of a protagonist complimenting a friend in his head and saying "metoo aside" in a casual misunderstanding of what the whole movement is about and making his comment seem way more slimey
