@discord @LivingTombstone How about not forcing it on everyone every year

[Francois Robbertze @Astnius]

@nasiphim You can start by having the security certificate fixed on the website. A very bad look for a city to have a broken security certificate

[Francois Robbertze @Astnius]

@JordiGriff I agree on principle but both wapadrand and mooikloof substation burned down before. We still have no details on why that happened. Infrastructure should be maintained and protected under any administration

[Francois Robbertze @Astnius]

@CityTshwane Mooikloof still off?

[Francois Robbertze @Astnius]

@ManablazeMick @TAKEALOT @PicknPay @My_SPAR @shoptemu There is still a cost for delivery from Takealot to the collection point. Grocery stores have the items in stock at store. I agree that a bundled delivery to a pick-up point could be free, and it is cheaper than the delivery option, but I can also see why they charge for it

[Francois Robbertze @Astnius]

@nasiphim @CityTshwane @MMCBoshielo Great, now how about stabilizing the power in pretoria east

[Francois Robbertze @Astnius]

@pieterkrielorg This shows only a basic understanding of what data centers could be used for and how they are used

[Francois Robbertze @Astnius]

@Pineapple_SA DM sent

[Francois Robbertze @Astnius]

@Pineapple_SA I have been trying to get hold of someone all morning to update banking details for my policy

[Francois Robbertze @Astnius]

@matbishopsa @mybroadband Agreed, MyBroadband has always been deceptive about their paid for content.

[Francois Robbertze @Astnius]

@Deadlydillgame Steam has a history of still allowing you to download delisted games that you bought, PlayStation does not

[Francois Robbertze @Astnius]

@TaxTim No warning that you could completely lose access to you tax returns after this link. Inform your customers better during the process.

[Francois Robbertze @Astnius]

@onlyskypace Let's do 45

[Francois Robbertze @Astnius]

@davidscottjaffe @NVIDIAGFN Most of the arguments ignore the fact that GeForce now and game streaming is limited to certain countries. I agree that it can be a great service, but the rollout is far from globally available

[Francois Robbertze @Astnius]

@LLB_hard82389 @sarstax @Simon_Sithole20 I will also add that SARS is governed by rules and laws. If they make changes to your tax profile by law they have to let you know. Do you expect them to switch off their servers on Sundays?

[Francois Robbertze @Astnius]

@LLB_hard82389 @sarstax @Simon_Sithole20 Why does that matter?

[Francois Robbertze @Astnius]

@David_Kicinski The bible and most religions rely on personal experience. You can tell someone what you experienced, but not tell someone what to do to repeat the experience for themselves. That is different in science

[Francois Robbertze @Astnius]

@PressX_O Why do people care where someone enjoys their hobby? Pc, playstation, xbox, even a phone. If someone enjoys what they are doing on their platform of choice, good for them.

[Francois Robbertze @Astnius]

@zilevandamme Starlink is not meant to compete with fibre. It is meant to compete with other technologies in areas that do not have fibre.
