A massive well done to one of our own, Dan Game, who completed the London marathon today raising money for the @NSPCC.
You’ve made us all at @station49fire proud mate, enjoy the rest and beers 🍻
This afternoon we were invited to Loxwood Primary School to talk all things fire safety and a little about what we do in the Fire Service. A great bunch of kids made the visit very enjoyable for us all. Thank you. We hope you enjoyed it.
Billingshurst Fire Station is holding a charity car wash this Saturday between 10am and 2pm in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity.
Please come along and support! 🚗 🧽
This morning we attended a call in Ifold. Whilst packing up our equipment we got chatting to a neighbour about working smoke alarms. She informed us she had none in her property. 2 smoke alarms were fitted. If you don’t have working smoke alarms, please get in touch.
Thanks to Crew Manager Cook for organising some Safe & Well visits today. We have been out in our community completing these visits and look forward to getting more completed on Monday & Tuesday next week. Have a safe and enjoyable weekend everyone. @WestSussexFire
Congratulations to Paul who has recently passed his 24 month end of phase assessment. Paul has worked very hard over the last 2 years and that shows with his knowledge and skills. A big thanks to all the crew for their support too.
Since Paul joined us at @station49fire nearly two years ago he’s modelled what it is to be a community firefighter, generating 5 safe and wells today, leading our prevention work to ensure the vulnerable get the support they need. Keep up the great work buddy, and thank you 👏🏼
We spent a few hours at a local community event where we were able to talk all things fire safety and prevention. A great opportunity to talk to the locals and check if they all have smoke alarms within their homes. Not all did, so we have offered FREE safe and well visits.
Thanks to the young farmers group at @Brinsbury college who invited us to talk about all the risks associated with farming. We also covered fire safety and the variety of calls we attend. Overall a very successful evening and we look forward to visiting again soon.
During the Easter holiday, Oliver & Jasmine kindly wanted to raise money for @firefighters999 by washing cars on their driveway. They donated £50 from their hard work. What an amazing kind gesture from these two local youngsters. Thank you so much. @WestSussexFire@wscountytimes
Little Doug has been spending the last week transitioning from dry food to @ButternutBox. Safe to say he’s a big fan of both chicken and beef! #cockerspaniel#puppy
Some focus training for Doug this morning, working on eye contact and attention 👀. Once he’s figured this out it will be time to repeat outside with more distractions 🕊️🚗
Meet Doug, the 10 week old Cocker Spaniel! 🥰 Doug has spent the last couple weeks settling in to his new home and his since started his training, mainly working on focus and attention. He’s a clever boy already being toilet and crate trained 🤩
