#spacefactsaturday Saturn can float?!

It sounds crazy, but the density of Saturn is less than the density of water. This means if Saturn were in a pool of water it would float!

Sadly, Saturn is over 500 quintillion times larger than MTSU’s biggest swimming pool. 😓

#spacefactsaturday This week 8 nations have signed the Artemis Accords, a set of principles outlining responsible exploration to the Moon led by NASA. This is an important step towards near future missions to the Moon and Mars for the US and other countries.

The first week of October is the United Nations Space Week! On Oct. 3rd 1942, Germany launched the V-2 rocket, the rocket that NASA would ultimately use to send astronauts to the Moon. On Oct. 4th 1957, the USSR launched the first artificial satellite in orbit. #spacefactsaturday

Is there life on Venus? Last week researchers at MIT announced findings of phosphine in the Venusian atmosphere, a gas normally produced by living organisms. Other potential causes are being examined, but a mission to look for other signs of life may be coming. #spacefactsaturday
