10 years ago I graduated from @IUBloomington and made a big change moving to Alabama with my now wife. In my wildest dreams I couldn't have imagined that decision would lead me to today, working at NASA and being on console for first crewed flight to moon in 50 years. Go #Artemis
Initial checkout today for upper level winds for loads/trajectory for @nasa#Artemis II looked great. Looking like a favorable trend into the launch window tomorrow. #WeAreGoing
Second: these forecasts *do not* include upper level winds. Those are a beast of their own and are evaluated by a separate process on flight day between JSC and MSFC.
As we get closer to the flight of #Artemis 2 just a couple reminders about the SLD45 launch day forecasts. The probability of violating wx constraints is for any moment in the count, meaning given a 2 hour window a 20% chance of violating is more than 80% chance of "go".
We're heading to the Moon.
The launch window opens as early as Feb. 6 for our crewed @NASAArtemis mission. Throughout the journey, we'll bring you live coverage on NASA+: https://t.co/XjTc1fTzOv
2.5 years ago I was celebrating #iufb getting their 3rd and final win of a 3-9 season during our baby shower. Now I'm going to watch them play for a national championship after seeing them dominate the semifinals in person, unbelievable. #NeverDaunted
