My apprehension around Riverside is due to some clients of mine discovering corrupted audio in their recordings over last 6 months. The type of corruption has made me skeptical whether Riverside is truly doing local recordings as advertised.

@klaszus @samuelgbrooks Zoom also isn’t terrible. Sam is right about audio compression, but most end users don’t notice this because of what they’re listening on.

A skilled audio engineer with access to Izotope RX can compensate for a lot of Zoom’s pitfalls.

@klaszus @samuelgbrooks Browser based solutions like Squadcast, Zencastr, or Riversidr are also “easy on both ends” (listed in order of recommendation) - no special directions needed, just provide a link and guest enters their name and presses “join”
