The last 6 weeks have been absolutely crammed because of the timing of JWST proposals and fellowships. I can't imagine how students without strong support networks can make it through.

1. Fall is a busy time for everyone, particularly junior folks. By putting the JWST deadline in Oct it ensures that graduating PhD students & postdocs must split their time between JWST and job apps. This is detrimental to their career and mental health

With JWST now in operation, the CO2 and PH3 features and the chemistry that drives them cannot be ignored. As we begin probing cooler exoplanets and determining C/O ratios, understanding CO2 chemistry and disentangling the CO2 and PH3 features will only become more important.
