A US-funded think tank (The Soufan Center) falsely reported that on July 20, 2025 Al-Shabaab had captured Sabiib and Canoole despite no attack even occurring at the time. Then, five days later (July 25) Al-Shabaab launched an actual assault on the towns which failed due to Somali forces' preparedness.

The US-Funded Think Tank’s Pre-Knowledge Exposes Deliberate Sabotage in Somalia

This Was No Coincidence It Was Sabotage:
- The think tank’s false report came BEFORE the real attack, suggesting prior knowledge of Al-Shabaab’s plans.
- Ugandan troops suspiciously withdrew before the assault, only rejoining Somali forces once they saw them successfully defending the area.
- Western media kept pushing the false narrative that the towns had fallen, undermining Somali forces’ efforts.

The Bigger Conspiracy: US & Allies Orchestrating Chaos**
This was not just misinformation it was active destabilization. The US and its allies are:
1. Sabotaging Turkey-Somalia Relations
- Seizing Turkish military aid (Puntland’s Deni blocking shipments).
- Forcing out pro-Turkey officials (like Somalia’s defense minister).
2. Empowering Al-Shabaab Indirectly
- Ethiopia arming militants near the Somali border.
- US-linked actors leaking false reports to demoralize Somali forces.
3. Keeping Somalia Weak & Divided
Using UAE, Ethiopia, Kenya, and even Taiwan to control different regions.
- Justifying Western military presence by maintaining chaos.

Why? Geopolitical Domination.
The US wants Somalia to stay broken so it can:

✔ Keep Islamic nations weak near the Red Sea.
