BREAKING: The carbon emissions from just two planned datacentres in England will exceed all of the fossil fuel company ExxonMobil’s UK emissions, analysis has revealed.

Water companies have been given the green light to increase bills for customers by an extra £3.4bn in coming years to meet demands on maintenance, housebuilding and data centres.
The public are being treated like suckers by the water companies. It’s literally taking the piss.
▪️3 billion litres of waters are lost every day due to network pipe leaks.
▪️35-40 reservoirs have been sold off since the 1990s and no new reservoirs have been built.
▪️Almost 300,000 sewage spills in England alone in 2025.
▪️Over the past decade, UK water company executives have been awarded over £112 million in bonuses and incentive payments.
And now the water companies will hoover up even more money from the public despite their shoddy service provision, hosepipe bans and massive bonuses to company executives.
And therein lies the main problem in Britain. Corporate greed at the public’s expense.
@NoFarmsNoFoods@JamesMelville 20% of all pumped water is lost through leakage.
For comparison, a network-wide hosepipe ban would only save 4%. And you could be fined £1000 for using a hosepipe.
Water firms in England and Wales ‘leak five times what hosepipe ban would save’

Charles and William nab tens of millions in Duchy profits each year, despite the Duchies being public property. A complete scam. We should have that cash instead. #NotMyKing#AbolishTheMonarchy#DitchTheDuchies
While wildfires rage, oil bosses are laughing all the way to the bank thanks to Donald Trump’s idiotic Iran war.
People across the country are facing sky high energy bills. If Burnham is struggling to find the money to help families with those bills, I’d start here.
Govt planning c. 100 new data centres by early 2030s, mostly in water stressed areas - with no legal duty to disclose how much water they use. Meanwhile Govt launches £75m publicity campaign to urge us to reduce water use & privatised water companies waste 19% thro leaks. Madness
Pakistan has its own space programme, yet we send it £133 million a year in aid while shutting down Britain's largest space telescope because we “can't afford” a few million.
This telescope helped inspire generations of scientists.
If we keep cutting investment in our own scientific infrastructure while other nations push ahead, we'll only fall further behind.
I hope this decision is reversed. Britain should be investing in its future, not dismantling it.
110 acres of prime agricultural land, 42% of the entire farm has been stripped away from a 2nd generation farm tenant with a 3 generation lease legally! … for a SOLAR factory!
Under the lease land could be reclaimed by the landlord if they could get non agricultural planning permission. The local council refused but Ange overruled the decision.
Leaving the farm unviable, with little compensation and losing food producing prime land forever.
All for the greater good.
As hosepipe bans rollout across the UK know that Data Centres are using 6.6m litres a day, it quadrupled in the last 4 years.
That's enough to run 1.8m hosepipes for 5 minutes.
We’ve now had 27 days of sunshine in England. Millions face hosepipe bans 🌞
Yet so far this year, we’ve had 150% of our average long-term rainfall. Some areas have had over 50 days of consecutive rain 🌧️
Something is very wrong with our water industry.
Every lifeboat launch on Duchy claimed seabed is charged a fee. They rely on public money. Air Ambulance relies on public money, yet the parasites get 2 helicopters we pay for. Now king parasite gets a £48 million pay rise. These people and those who support this are obscene.
All these coverings are evil and all about control. Also fairly new in our world…and this burqa bullshit is the worst one of them all. Dehumanizing and that’s the least of it…
Yet another indictment of the politically (and literally) bankrupt water industry in this country. England had its 8th wettest winter on record. And yet the total lack of investment from the companies to build new reservoirs and capacity leaves us here. Urgent change needed.
It’s a bit rich of the water companies in England threatening hosepipe bans after just a few warm days.
3 billion litres of water every single day is lost through neglected and leaking pipes — that’s roughly one-fifth of the water supply disappearing before it reaches taps.
Since privatisation in 1989, they’ve sold off at least 35 reservoirs for a £26 million profit, while building barely any new ones.
They lecture the public on “saving water” while their own crumbling network haemorrhages billions of litres daily and they asset-strip the very infrastructure needed for water security during dry weather spells.
Fix your leaks. Build new reservoirs. Then come back and talk about hosepipe bans.
