@JuanSGalt@AquaBitcoin@PhoenixWallet Run your own lightning node with Start 9. Also Phoenix have self custodial lightning as well. All of those are perfectly private options. Just don't use custodial lightning if you want to be perfectly private. Lighting is wonderful and private if you know what to use.
@tomyoungjr Lol. No one will sell you something for your email. You can shop at 10s of thousands of merchants all across South Africa and pay with Bitcoin. Square terminals support thousands of merchants in the USA. And there are thousands more all across the world. So yeah. Its money
@reallyoptimized I sent someone some bitcoin this week for payment to another country. Didn't have to use a bank or ask anyone for permission. Seemed like it was still on 😁
@KrooNiii@14g23h34@mattkratter I'm so sorry that Matt is being rude and not rooting for people losing all their money with these schemes. He should be much nicer and support them going broke. I'll let him know. @mattkratter please stop being mean when people are getting scammed.
@SilkyFlows@theswansjr@LawrenceLepard He's said many times he wish he would have never sold. If BTC was useless it would haven't done billions of dollars worth of transactions this year and it wouldn't be over 1 Trillion Dollar market cap.
If its worthless, then will you send me 100 BTC for zero? I'd appreciate it.
@HurdleRateClips@PunterJeff I may not understand the nuances of all this financial engineering. But I know for sure that no one needed Saylor to Signal that he could sell BTC. That is such a cope.
@SilkyFlows@theswansjr@LawrenceLepard Schiff wouldn't spend the last 10 yrs talking about Bitcoin if it wasn't a threat. If he hadn't sold early on he'd still have 10s of millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin. His messaging would probably be something to the effect of Bitcoin and Gold are both good. But he fkd up.
@JuanSGalt Have you used @AquaBitcoin or @PhoenixWallet . They are both super easy to use. Also lightning is the payment layer. Bitcoin is the settlement layer. The settlement layer is design to be slow intentionally. Its an engineering choice thats important to maintain decentralization.
@JuanSGalt We don’t need to touch the Bitcoin base layer. Other than cleaning up the spam vectors privacy can be achieved in L2s. Liquid is great, but not perfectly private. So there are improvements that can be made there without touch Bitcoin:
@NickDarlington@dazzaecg It’s as if these people forgot that we have the right to send cash to each other without approval. Just because money is digital now doesn’t mean we lost our rights to transact with each other, without big brother in every transaction.
