Listening to #ASOT2074 today, and have been really enjoying @arminvanbuuren (et al)'s new Superman track. Just played it for the kids and they all agreed: Well done!
@revannek Just mention to your husband that he can't love Tolkien _that_ much if he doesn't own the LOTR on Kindle. Also, having to read the three-volume hardback set is giving you Reader's Elbow. (It's probably a real thing.)
@revannek "my book ... is enormous and I’m getting wrist pain from trying to hold it up because it’s all three books bound into one..."
This is why, though no one believes me, I genuinely prefer reading on Kindle these days.

@FredFredSanders Thanks @FredFredSanders. That's the screen that shows up every time I unlock my computer. I look forward to being confronted by that profile multiple times a day now...
@smartereveryday just watched the Exploding Seed Pods episode. All the kids really appreciated the science jargon of "reverse banana peel slap bracelet."
Also, since we have more girls than boys (3:1), they're gender swapping most of it.
So:
Princess Leia -> Prince Leo
Luke Skywalker -> Lucy Skywalker
Darth Vader -> Darth Mater
etc.
@StudsonStudio, thanks to your video about making a home video of Jurassic Park as a kid, my kids are now outside working on a Start Wars movie.
They have an R2D2 "puppet" made from a piece of cardboard taped to a rolling chair.

@TrashMobMinis Painting is pretty much #done. I'm experimenting with a #diy wash formula (#ht@StudsonStudio), and may add that in a couple places if it looks like it'll look good.
Inspired by my previous sculpting success, I decided to create myself a mini for my tortle. This one stands about 1-1/4" high.
Sculpting is done, on to painting next.
Shout out to @TrashMobMinis for the character design/art for this guy. It's based on his #TurtleTyrants pack
This doesn't incline me to agree with these poor folks, but it does -- taking for granted the truth of the referenced evidence and documents -- give me a lot of sympathy for them.
I think I've had discussions w/enough Boomer-tier Trump supporters who believe the 2020 election was fraudulent to extract a general theory about their perspective. It is also the perspective of most of the people at the Capitol on 1/6, and probably even Trump himself. 1/x
Overall I'm really happy with how it turned out!
I created an GPhotos album of the entire project, and included a 360°-view gif I created. Check it out!

I'm getting back into some sculpting work, but in a new (to me) and experimental form. I'm taking advantage of the "re-bake-able" character of #sculpey clay to do some 2.5-dimensional sculpting.
I'm curious to see how soon @TrashMobMinis will be able to identify what I'm making.
Well it's done! I took one evening to paint it, and a few hours the next day to "finish" it with Sculpey glaze, just so the acrylic paint didn't keep it's tacky/sticky feel. (I had to patch a few spots that stuck to things.)
