The adherence of this Ummah to its religion and unity is a barrier which prevents enemies from achieving their aims. No matter what the plots and strength of the enemy, they can never prevail over this Ummah if it’s united.

According to the Hadith narrated by Thawbaan, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“I asked my Lord not to let overwhelming famine destroy the entire Ummah, and not to allow any enemy from outside to wipe it out. My Lord said, ‘O’ Muhammad, if I have decreed something, it can never be changed. But I have granted you that overwhelming famine should never destroy your entire Ummah, and they should never be wiped out by an enemy from outside. Even if all the surrounding nations were to come together to destroy them, they will not be able to do so. But some of this Ummah will destroy one another and take one another prisoner.” (Sahih Muslim)

It is clear from this Hadith that the unity of the Ummah is a protection against its enemies, but when the strength of the Ummah is turned against itself and divisions and disputes arise, Allah sends its enemies against it. This is an inevitable result, because in that situation the strength of the Ummah is not focused against its enemies, rather it is directed against itself, so it destroys itself and allows its enemies to achieve what they want.

আমেনা নামের মেয়েটা চাকরি করতো। তাদের পরিবার একদমই অসচ্ছল ছিল। তাই জীবিকার তাগিদে বাবা এবং আমেনা বরিশাল ছেড়ে নরসিংদীতে এসেছিল।

এখানে একটা ভাড়া বাসাতে থাকতো তারা। ভাড়া বাসাতে থেকে, চকরির অল্প কয় টাকার বেতন দিয়েই চলছিল তাদের পুরো পরিবারের সংসার।

আজকে থেকে ১৫-১৬ দিন আগে কাজ থেকে একা একাই বাড়ি ফিরছিল আমেনা। হুট করেই ৫-৬ জনের একটা দল এসে আমেনার পথ আ°টকা°য় এবং তাকে একপ্রকার জো°রজ°বর°দস্তি করেই তু°লে নিয়ে যায় ওরা।

তুলে নিয়ে গিয়ে নি`র্ম°মভা`বে গ°ণধ*র্ষ°ণ করে আমেনাকে।

যেই ৫-৬ মিলে ধ*র্ষπণ করেছিল ওরা এলাকারই স্থানীয় পোলাপান এবং রাজনৈতিক দলের আশ্রয়ে থাকা লোক। ওদেরকে নে°তৃ°ত্ব দিয়েছিল নূরা নামের এক ব°খা°টে। স্থানীয় হওয়ায় ওরা বেশ প্রভাবশালীই ছিল।

আমেনার বাবা আশরাফ হোসেন এই ঘটনা এলাকায় সবাইকে জানানোর পরও কেউ তেমন কোন ব্যবস্থা নেয়নি কারণ ধ*র্ষπকরা স্থানীয় এবং প্র°ভা°বশালী দলের শেল্টারে আছে।

পরে আমেনার বাবা এলাকার মেম্বারের কাছে যান এবং মেম্বার কোনরকম নামমাত্র একটা সালিশী বিচার করে দেয় এবং ঘটনাটা পু°লিশ°কে জানাতেও নিষেধ করে।

আমেনার বাবা যেহেতু ওখানে ভাড়া থাকতো তাই তিনিও একদমই অসহায় ছিলেন। নিজের চাকরি আর ওদের প্রভাবের কথা চিন্তা করে আর বেশিকিছু করা সম্ভব হয়নি তার।

এরপর মেয়ের বিপদের কথা চিন্তা করে গতকালকে আমেনার বাবা মেয়েকে তার খালার বাসায় রেখে আসতে গিয়েছিলেন। তিনি বুঝতে পারছিলেন মেয়েকে এখানে রাখলে ওরা আবারও ঝামেলা করবে।

কিন্তু গতকাল যখন মেয়েকে খালার বাড়িতে দিতে যাচ্ছিল আমেনার বাবা তখন এলাকার প্রভাবশালী ওই বখাটেগুলো আবারও রাস্তায় তাদের পথ আটকায় এবং একপ্রকার জোর করে বাবার সামনে থেকেই আমেনাকে তু্লে নিয়ে যায়।

আমেনার বাবার বক্তব্য অনুযায়ী- উনি চিল্লাচিল্লি করে
আশেপাশের লোক যোগানের চেষ্টা করেছিলেন ,মেয়েটাকে বাঁচানোর চেষ্টা করেছিলেন কিন্তু একা বিধায় পারেননি।

ওইদিন আমেনার বাবা তার পরিবারের লোকদেরকে নিয়ে সবজায়গায় আমেনাকে খুঁজতে থাকে কিন্তু কোথাও পায়নি। মেয়েটাকে না পেয়ে একপ্রকার আশাহতই ছিল পরিবারের লোকেরা।

আমেনার বাবার আশা ছিল মেয়েটাকে হয়তো ভয় দেখিয়ে ছেড়ে দিবে ওরা ,জানে মারবে না।

কিন্তু এর পরদিন সকালে স্থানীয় এক কৃষক জমিতে একটা মেয়েকে পড়ে থাকতে দেখে। পরে এলাকায় জানাজানি হলে আমেনার বাবা-মা এসে দেখে এটাই তাদের মেয়ে আমেনা।
