When fuel prices were abruptly increased, we were told this was simply a reflection of international market dynamics.

International oil prices have since fallen significantly. If pricing is genuinely linked to global markets, then Pakistani consumers should now see an immediate and meaningful reduction as well. The principle cannot apply only when prices go up.
