As an investment institution; UDC has greatly supported the Mechanisation efforts @Atiak_Sugar.

Today, the Permanent Secretary @mofpedU, @rggoobi visited @Atiak_Sugar to assess the progress of the investment.
The PS, who highlighted the benefits of the investment to the surrounding communities and to the country, strongly called for a focus on resuming production.

The CEO of @Atiak_Sugar, Dr. Amina Hersi Moghe over the weekend hosted former Member of the Senate of Canada, Mr. William Brent Cotter, Hon.Norbert Mao and retired Justice Ocan Ralph among others at Gem farm in Pacilo Village.
The team had paid a courtesy visit to the factory.

On Saturday, we hosted a team comprising students and lecturers of @GuluVarsity and selected community members @Atiak_sugar factory.
The team came for a study visit of the facility.

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility,
@Atiak_Sugar has given a cash donation of shs21.2 million to 85 VSLAs in Pacilo Parish in Atiak Sub county Amuru district.

Over the weekend, a team from the @EPRC_official, in collaboration with @mofpedU, @MAAIF_Uganda and @mtic_uganda was hosted at @Atiak_Sugar.
The team’s visit was to enable them gain a better understanding of the sugarcane growing dynamics and processes in the Acholi sub-region.

The team also had an interactive session with our Director for Agriculture, Mr. Seeruttun Bunty, who took them through a series of ongoing activities on the farm.
Notable among them is plantation of the canes which is in the final phase as the rainy season comes to an end.

Today, we hosted a team of officials from the @OWC_ug Secretariat @Atiak_Sugar.

Led by Amb. Lt. Gen. Philip Idro, the team’s visit was to fast track the progress of activities at the factory.

During the interactive session, the director of planning @Atiak_Sugar, Ahmed Mahmoud, briefed the team about the challenges that have affected the Sugar production pattern of the factory.
He however assured the team that the project was on course to resume full production soon
