“I was offered ₦250 million to halt my governorship ambition and another ₦250 million after announcing that I was no longer running. I DIDN’T RECEIVE ANY MONEY FROM ADELABU, TESLIM, OR SHARAFADEEN ALI.”
— TAOFEEK AKINWALE, APC Chieftain and former Labour Party governorship candidate, reveals.
To the good people of Oyo State, thank you for your patience and support. As I have always said, we are here to serve you and we will always act in your best interests.
Oyo State bought two DA42 MNG (DA42MN-G) ISR aircraft for a total of ₦7,763,360,000 — about ₦3.88 billion each.
A standard new civilian DA42 NG starts around $800k–$1M before options. The higher figure here includes the full surveillance sensors, mission systems, assembly and support.
I’m really happy about the surveillance aircraft that Seyi Makinde bought.
A landlocked state, that was historically never the capital of Nigeria🙂↔️.
The state has the largest landmass in the southern region, with 9 gazetted forest reserves covering about 342,461 hectares (almost the size of Anambra state). It represents roughly 12% of the state's land mass .
If the aircrafts are well maintained and utilized, it will go a long way in securing and giving precise surveillance to the city, its forests and its borders.
“Governor Seyi Makinde’s government has stated the aircraft will support security operations along Oyo’s borders with Kwara State and Benin Republic.”
Only few cities in Africa like Cape Town has state or city surveillance aircraft.
This is not the first time Political gladiators are backing out of Seyi Makinde's camp.
The power is with the Majority of the people!
2027 is going to be a tough battle but we will WIN again!
I won't be shocked when Oriyomi declare for Sarafa, I won't be shocked when Adegoke declare his support for Sarafa, I won't be shocked when more "loyalists" from Governor's camp start declaring support for the opposition, I won't be shocked when Beulah and Gbolarumi declare for Sarafa. 😂 😂
Olubori lo ma bori 🙏🏾

"From the ancient hills of Ibadan, where history is made,
A son of the soil has risen, and he is not afraid.
Born on Christmas Day, a gift to the nation,
Seyi Makinde, an engineer by foundation.
From St. Michael's Primary to UNILAG's hallowed halls,
He built not just bridges, he answered the people's calls."

Nigerians are reacting with outrage after the public accountability organisation Tracka revealed that the 2026 Proposed Budget set aside N22.15 billion for the construction of 106 royal palaces across the country.
The organisation found that billions of naira meant for traditional palaces appeared to be routed through unrelated agencies including the Nigerian Institute for Oceanography and even the National Institute for Cancer Research.
