Israeli Deputy Minister Almog Cohen has announced that he plans to introduce a bill to name a lounge at Ben Gurion Airport after Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar.

He said the proposal is meant to honor Captain Smit for his bravery and for saving the lives of passengers during the incident on a Flydubai flight.

Cohen plans to present the bill to the Knesset when it reconvenes.
