From Metro Atlanta to Madrid ๐ช๐ธ
Representatives from the Metro Atlanta Chamber traveled to Madrid to strengthen global partnerships and showcase why metro Atlanta continues to be a leading destination for international business, infrastructure, mobility, sports, and innovation.
โAtlanta and Spain are connected by more than flights and business deals. We share a commitment to innovation, global connectivity, and growth,โ said Kristi Brigman, Chief Economic Development Officer at the Metro Atlanta Chamber. "As we prepare to welcome Spain and the world for FIFA World Cup 2026โข, weโre proud to strengthen relationships that create new opportunities for investment, collaboration, and long-term economic success.โ
From transportation and logistics to advanced engineering and mega-event strategy ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026โข and beyond, the conversations reinforced metro Atlantaโs position on the global stage.
Because when the worldโs biggest companies look toward the future, Atlanta is part of the conversation.
A 30-year journey, landing right back where it started. ๐
In 1996, Cabo Verde made its Olympic debut in Atlanta.
In 2026, they return for their first-ever @FIFAWorldCup.
But the real story isn't just on the grassโitโs in the community thatโs been growing here ever since. We spent an evening at a westside cookout to see how a small island nation found a second home in the heart of Georgia.

The City in the Forest just got a little bit greener! ๐ณ
Wednesday marked the opening of @sodowntownatl's Founders Green, a new public gathering space designed to bring people together and add even more energy to one of Atlantaโs fastest-evolving neighborhoods.
Surrounded by new restaurants, retail, and local pop-ups, Founders Green is creating a more walkable, connected downtown experience, while helping support small businesses and continued investment in the area.
As momentum builds around South Downtown ahead of @FIFAWorldCup, spaces like this are helping reimagine a neighborhood built around community, culture, and local commerce.

Investing in Atlanta for the long term ๐ช
Metro Atlanta Chamber Chief Economist Dr. Jerry Parrish and Dallas Clement, the President and CFO of @CoxEnterprises, sat down to discuss whatโs next for Metro Atlanta โ from the strength of our workforce to the importance of purpose-driven business and long-term investment in the region.
Their conversation explored why Atlanta continues to stand out as a place where innovation, talent, and opportunity come together โ and why collaboration between the business community is key to sustaining that momentum for years to come.
Georgia's been the #1 State for Business for 12 years running. That's not just a reputation โ it's something that requires dedicated collaborative work, all the time.
Part of that work is behind the scenes, making sure Georgia has the legal infrastructure businesses can count on when things go wrong.
HB 1185, sponsored by Majority Leader Chuck Efstration and Senate Floor Leader Thomas "Bo" Hatchett and signed today by Governorย Brian Kemp, does exactly that. The bill streamlines access to Georgia's Statewide Business Court โ a specialized court with judges who actually understand how businesses work โย strengthens Georgia's corporate codeย and adds commonsense protections against bad-faith litigation.
The bottom line: disputes resolved faster, at lower cost, with more expertise. That's good for companies already here, and a strong signal to those deciding where to grow next.
Thank you to @GovKemp, Majority Leader @ChuckEfstration, Floor Leader Hatchett and the Georgia General Assembly on this win for our business community. ๐๏ธ
Dream on, Atlanta ๐
The @AtlantaDream tip off their season tonight, and our region is ready for another season on the hardwood.
