I was honored to give up a chevron to recognize the service and sacrifices of the 12th SgtMaj of the Marine Corps, SgtMaj Harold Overstreet (retired). A plaque now hangs aboard #MCRDSanDiego on the spot in 1991 where he accepted the post of Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps.
