Important Update regarding the Agra Scam Issue!

First of all, I had no intention of getting involved in this issue, but after seeing certain accounts deliberately drag the Kshatriya community into the matter, I felt the need to clarify a few things.

This information had been circulating on Twitter, but I deliberately refrained from posting it until I could verify it. I have now received confirmation from higher authorities that the individual in question is indeed Ajayveer Singh s/o Jaypal Singh, a resident of Village Badganv Kamtri, Bah, Agra. Based on the information available to me, there is also reason to believe that he belongs to the Gujjar community.

I never participated in the donation drive, primarily for two reasons:

1. The account was very new, had no display picture, and appeared to have virtually no established network or contacts.
2. Frankly, the name sounded like something straight out of an Imran Khan movie (Jaane tu ya Jaane Na).

Even after the scam came to light, I found it difficult to believe that this had anything to do with the Kshatriya community. The historical record of Rajput traditions contains a long-standing culture of charity, patronage and philanthropy. Attributing an individual's alleged fraud to an entire community-- particularly when there is no credible basis for associating him with that community--is both unfair and intellectually dishonest.

The matter has been clarified sufficiently. It should be allowed to rest now and people should stop calling that person Jai Singh Rathore.

I think this is a good lesson for our Rajput community: people will exploit the goodwill associated with our caste and surnames to rip others off.

We should always be extra careful and not accept or act on anything until it comes through proper, trusted channels. We shouldn’t let emotion get the better of us and show solidarity in the name of the community when doing so could cause financial harm to ourselves or others, however small.

This “Jay Singh Rathore” is actually Ajay Gurjar, who faked his identity to rip people off.

I have absolutely no connection with the Jai Singh Rathore who raised funds for his sister yesterday and I don’t know him personally either. I live in Madhya Pradesh, whereas he was from Uttar Pradesh. I only liked commented on, and quoted his post because he is a Rathore. I did not contribute any money to him.

If anyone wants to verify this, they are welcome to DM me and cross-check. My account is right here and will remain active. I’m not deactivating it or disappearing anywhere.
