@LamedBet@rinsass There's the thing about fads and trends too, a few years ago people genuinely expected you to give a shit about a movie just because its from Marvel, thirty years from now we won't remember 20% of these. They didn't age poorly, the were never good, it was just a fad.
@LamedBet@rinsass fails to be interesting despite its limitations is just bad art that sustains itself on some novel gimmick, be it its use of high-end technology or some fresh idea that is innovative but not well executed.
@rinsass The first Street Fighter is a good example, it's a dumpster fire of a game that saw some success for how innovative it was. But when the second game released it was instantly erased from everyone's memory. The second is remembered because it's still enjoyable despite its flaws
@rinsass Most things that "age poorly" are just bad things people liked because of some novelty that nowadays isn't special anymore.
The flaws were always there, you just have less reasons to tolerate them now.
@bungus109753@Gaismair What is exactly ethical about women having to sell themselves to survive in an war torn country to the very same men who destroyed the country? The only difference between prostitution and rape in those cases is how violent it is.

@GallowsTumour@siuansanche10 Yeah, but like I said, that low-key kills roleplay. Because roleplaying isn't just the good things you do, not getting a discount at a shop because you were a douchebag to the owner is also roleplay. That's why when I DM I make the player rolls the dice first, then roleplay -
@siuansanche10 whole point of playing in the first place, not because there's some reward attached to it, and failure shouldn't be treated as a personal failing of the player, but rather as a part of the narrative that the player engages with with the same level of roleplaying as their successe
@siuansanche10 The problem here is that this way of playing is meant to force the players into playing the game properly, i.e. rewarding them for good roleplay and ideas and punishing them for bad roleplay and lack of ideas. But the players should play the game properly because it's fun and the
O som que as igrejas católicas aqui da cidade fazem é O MESMO que aquele som dos intervalos nas escolas japonesas. Eu me pergunto a história por trás disso
