It's Nexus Night and you best believe I'm going demon mode again. Managed to clutch the 3-0!
And I have to say, the Aurora Mirror is one of the most complex matches I've ever played 🫠
Big SO to Smeves, had a great time discussing all the different lines and plays! 🙏
Time pressure & a long day of RB can cause the best players to make genuine mistakes. This RQ was a great example of that.
However, this instance (and others) is completely different to intentionally deceiving your opp about what cards you have when you reveal your hand.
To clarify what happened on stream:
I played Turn to Dust (slow speed spell) during a showdown to buff my Ravenbloom Student, which is not a legal play.
First, I want to apologize to my opponent. This mistake mattered and gave me an advantage, regardless of the outcome of the match (I lost).
We were both trying to play fast, as there were only a few minutes left in game 3. In the middle of deciding what to grab from my Stacked Deck, my opponent asked if I could speed up.
I got flustered worrying that I was taking too long, and I ended up playing TTD during the showdown… I mixed up the play speed with Acceptable Losses, which was my main board gear hate, and what I was used to playing in most my games instead of TTD.
Ultimately, I rushed through my play, and because the situation was very tense and fast-paced, none of us at the table caught it.
I'm just really sorry (and frankly embarrassed)… I’ve always sought to play at the highest level and this isn’t where I want to be at. I’m still figuring out how to be a top competitor while working full-time and making YT content. I haven't had enough reps recently, which resulted in a very amateurish showing. I'll make sure this doesn’t happen again and will do better in Hartford.
Sorry everyone :(
@GoricaLoL Riftbound is a lot of players first experience watching TCGs, & I think this RQ was a really good example of what happens to the best of players under time pressure & a long day of Riftbound. Genuine mistakes happen.
Good on you for saying your piece. Wishing you all the best!
Rose: Player audio being broadcasted. This was not only good to hear ruling disputes/questions, but was lovely to hear the banter between players.
Bud: More prize wall exclusives that arent (and are cheaper than) metal cards.
Thorn: I wish the Unleashed playmat was at Syndey.
I would love to hear everyone’s Rose, Bud, Thorn for Vancouver:
Rose: your favorite thing
Bud: the thing you’d like to see expanded going forward
Thorn: the thing that caused you the most grief (please don’t put rulings here I will not know what you’re saying)
Hey Riftbounders!!! 🌈 Pride Month is here, and we're excited to celebrate with everyone at @riotgames and the amazing LGBTQIA+ community that helps make Riftbound what it is.
To celebrate, we teamed up with @cherriielle to bring this stunning piece to life. 🌞🌙 The Sun and Moon have never looked so radiant!
YouTube chat, if my opponent and I each have an Elder Dragon in play at a Battlefield, and I cast Flurry of Blades. Only your Elder Dragon will die...

@e3tcg Your point was "solo queue feels impossible" - It's not impossible to get a metal card as an "average" player. My record for constructed over the weekend was 7-4, and 4-0 for sealed.
"good legends" is subjective.
(Im not denying the farming problem.)
@andrees_joseph@bearxbeartcg@TheRizKidd@AliEldrazi Because that is how the chain works. Things can get added to the chain, and players can react to each item on the chain and once either player has no further actions, then you resolve that chain completely.
@bearxbeartcg@TheRizKidd@AliEldrazi So with Flurry, chain looks like this:
- Move Trigger, Flurry.
After Flurry resolves chain should look like this:
- Move Trigger, Deathknell, Deathknell.
After Flurry resolved, opponent went straight to resolving their move trigger.
