Was finally able to get out for a decent hunt this year. Top find even though it's mangled was in my opinion the confederate officers stirrup. Also got a small bit of confederate spur and a really nice 25c plantation token.

Went meet a couple friends in a field for a bit today. The 2 3 ringers are from a different site but everything else was eyeball finds today. It's not often I end up finding intact bottles so that was a real treat!
Something that just occurred to me as simultaneously really cool and frustrating as hell is that this year off of the same permission I've gotten 3 coins that are all in contention for my oldest coin found and I have NO idea which one is ACTUALLY the oldest π
Not a bad few hours at all. First pic is today. Second is the last couple hunts I just never posted. The fired bullet there in the first turned out to be a williams cleaner with remnants of the zinc disk still which was super neat to ID when I cleaned it a bit.
This is going to drive me crazy till I can figure out what it says. I've tried a rubbing but the paper I had was too thick and I only had a pencil to use. The engraving is also really really shallow in most places so that is also making it difficult
@Wrightjw75 I have. It's like I can see enough to be able to piece it together possibly but that script throws me off and I can't make heads of tails of it. I know it looks like a 17 there in the middle but I'm having a hard time believing that that's what is there
@joey_delozier Surprisingly no. I'm running square tones on the D2 and it had a bit of depth on it but it was still pretty loud just not blasting. Was a suuuuper clean tone though
