You’re in control
Of your 2025 …
Focus on accountability .. if you’re complaining ..
It on you to change Your actions not the world’s 🌍 responsibility to change the way it is … the thing you control
Is your actions and your accountability and your decision to not blame ..
And I think someone just saw this and is finally
Ready to get happier and realizes it’s on them ❣️❣️❣️❣️ pass this onto someone who needs it or share it in your stories ..
Cause unfortunately…
Many need it 💘

This means I can refer many matters out if my colleagues need help outside our firm. This increases my value to the firm as a center of influence. Feel free to send me a direct message if you want to get involved in the ABA or any bar association!
Over the next several days, I’m enjoying sunny Palm Springs for the @ABALitigation Fall Leadership Meeting. I serve on the Section’s governing council and host the Section’s podcast, Litigation Radio.
These meetings are invaluable to my practice — both in terms of learning substantive content as well as business development. Through the ABA, I’ve been able to substantially expand my network and gain new referral sources.

Young Lawyer Tip #6: Elon Musk once said, "you don’t need a college degree to be successful." For Musk, it’s all about skills over credentials. He believes in doing the work, solving problems, and showing impact. For lawyers, we know that law school teaches you the theory.

Do you want to be great? Make yourself small and put yourself at the service of everyone. In the #GospelOfTheDay (Mark 9:30-37), Jesus renews our way of living. He teaches us that true power does not lie in domination by the strong, but in the care for the weak.
The person who sat next to you in Civ Pro may in 10 years be the general counsel of your biggest client. For more tips on leveling up your legal career without sacrificing your well-being, follow my Instagram account: https://t.co/yha8bCuUKC
Young Lawyer Tip #5: To get referrals and develop business for your practice, you need to build your network. For young lawyers, the first step is staying close to your law school classmates. They may be able to refer cases to you now, and you never know where they will end up.
couldn’t do it without them 🩵

I’ll be speaking on emerging environmental legal issues—PFAS and its liabilities—at the Associated General Contractors of America’s Highway, Transportation, and Utility Infrastructure Construction Conference in October. If you’ll be out there, send me a note so we can meet up!
See if you can push through those hard times and get through to the other side. You might be closer to success than you realize, and pushing through may be a lot easier than starting over.
Young Lawyer Tip #3: There may be days when you want to quit, and there may be periods where you might want to quit every day. Being a lawyer at a law firm (and sometimes just a human being) is hard.
