After 30+ years in nursing, as a bit of a side quest, she’s finally added her bachelor’s. Her degree is a pretty piece of paper that validates an already accomplished career. I am so thankful that my daughter has this role model to look up to.
Go momma, and go Gators!! 🐊
Yesterday I had the honor of a lifetime to participate in the pinning ceremony for my momma, Kelly Rousseau, as she received her bachelor’s in nursing from the University of Florida.
My mother is my hero. She raised FIVE children (four boys at that), all while working the night shift full time as a lead charge nurse in Baptist Health’s NICU. In her “spare time” she homeschooled three of her wild children.
Say there were to be a trial for the homicide. This video, would NOT be admissible in court, because it is irrelevant. All that matters is whether in the moments prior to pulling the trigger, the officer feared imminent death to him or others
MUST WATCH: Footage of an a man who looks like Alex Pretti with a gun in his waistband, spitting on and attacking federal law enforcement officers and kicking the tail light of their vehicle on January 13.
Bombshell report from the BBC.
Important context: Pretti was not a peaceful protester.
An insurance company’s first offer is almost never their best. Negotiations 101. The mere presence of a lawyer on a claim tells them they can’t get away with any games, so they will get serious with you. Long story short.. call a lawyer!!
Any settlement offer will almost certainly come with a release of liability. Car insurance companies do the same. They try to get to an injured driver with a quick and cheap settlement within 24-48 hours after a crash with the hopes they haven’t called an attorney.
There is no such thing as benevolent settlement negotiations with risk management or an insurance company. They know that soft tissue injuries often take days or even weeks to manifest. So that want to have these releases in hand before these passengers know they are hurt.
@AttorneyDTR@157Gale Mine have only increased. No claims or tickets and I even increased my deductible to save a little money but now my premium is ABOVE what it was previously with the lower deductible
It’s hilarious & frustrating that anybody in favor of passing #HB837 actually thought that if we gutted Floridians rights in favor of Big Insurance that we’d receive the benefit in lowered premiums.
We willingly gave away our rights to foreigners for.. *checks notes*.. NOTHING
The owner of Angie’s Subs in Jacksonville Beach is driving up to North Carolina to help those in need after #HurricaneHelene.
He’s collecting donations and pulling a trailer with four other people tomorrow morning, bringing bottled water, diapers, baby-formula and toilet paper.
Hello Everybody! Check out the newest episode of the Huddle Up Gators series featuring Vari (@157Gale), a big Gator fan and a friend from UF Law. He shares an experience of going to the '08 Carolina game w/ Carolina fans, Chris Leak, and more. Go Gators!

Yesterday I finished a tough trial where the defense denied all responsibility and blamed the entire incident on our client.
Thankfully, a Duval County jury entered a verdict holding the defendant liable.
As is often the case, the good people of Duval County got it right!
I am the president of the BOD of @TheatreJax, the longest continuously running community theatre in the nation. We are one of the many cultural centerpieces impacted by budget cuts, and I can assure you we are no “sexual” fringe festival. Disappointing.
NEW: DeSantis cited "sexual" Fringe Festivals as the reason why he gutted Florida's cultural funding from the budget.
It's not clear they would have been funded in the first place.
