@ChrisWillx When we look at it like this, it seems so stupid to do so. Yet, people spend their entire life like this. Where's the disconnect? And what makes us be this this?
Desire for status? Respect? Fame? Belonging? Fear of losing all of them?

@Nicolascole77 I think the main reason freelancers opt for hourly pricing is because they don't understand the value they bring to the client.
They're experts in their skills, so they can easily give an estimate w/confidence, but can't do the same when asked about the ROI.
