I've played 2 million hands of poker.
Here's what I've learned:
- Life is the product of your bets.
- Most people are playing the wrong game.
- Models are a crutch.
- Edge comes from exploiting information asymmetries.
- Discipline beats ability.

I wrote out my recommendations on how founders can run a great hiring process.
Would love to dial this in and open-source.

Your to-do list is a mirror that reflects your relationship with reality.

good stuff here from @SparksRemarks
chris has always had razor sharp clarity of thought, and I’ve enjoyed watching him from afar transition those skills to non-poker concepts

Arbitrage is when traders capitalize on price differences between markets for the same asset, buying low in one market and selling high in another.
We make the same trades with beliefs, arbitraging overpriced limiting beliefs for more empowering alternatives.
Beliefs are fluid patterns that we solidify through repeated reinforcement. They are more like weather patterns than fixed structures.
After piercing the illusion of solidity, we hold beliefs lightly and can easily discard them. Reality is flexible and open to interpretation, just like our beliefs.
