My goal this year is to find mentors and like minded people with interests in Biochemistry , molecular biology, therapeutics, research and innovation!
I have a solid foundation in biostatistics, and data analysis with R
More I'm thread......
I am a big advocate of the idea of doctors doing bridging courses before they can take on their residency programs.
For example;
- internal medicine enthusiasts can do either biochemistry or physiology
- surgery enthusiasts can do anatomy
- etc
In fact I recommend it for doctors who want to take the direction of;
- internal medicine
- therapeutics development
- molecular research
- translational medicine
- among others
Biochemistry is really so sweet
I also realized biochemistry is truly the core of medicine
It is preparing me not only to treat disease, but also to interrogate it through molecular research and innovation
I am refining my skills in bioinformatics (Linux, R, and Nextflow)
I am pursuing master of science in Biochemistry at Mbarara University of Science and Technology
The first semester has been great so far.
I have grown both in knowledge and it's practical applications
Technical fluency has become an indispensable asset atleast in my own expereince. In the wake of the AI surge, your potential to achieve your desired goals is limited only by your understanding of the tools at your disposal
As the year draws to a close, it is the perfect time to pause, reflect, and recharge.

Seek out opportunities to explore the things you’re drawn to. Test your assumptions. If something doesn’t resonate, don’t linger, move on quickly. Keep searching until you find the space where your heart feels at home.
I believe everyone is a genius; provided they're operating within their area of strength. Too often, we struggle to become like others, neglecting our own unique potential in the process.
