*An appeal to NON-autistic people: please take a few moments to read this thread*
We (#Neurodivergent people) were taught early in life that everything YOU (#Allistics) said and did was what WE (#Autistics etc) had to aspire to.
We weren’t even told an alternative existed. 1/9
Are there still people who believe pardoning Trump is the right thing to do? If so, why? Outline your legal, moral & ethical argument in 1 (tiny) paragraph...
If this is how Trump behaves after losing an election, can you imagine how bad it would have been if he’d actually WON & had a few more years of running roughshod everywhere?
How wonderful to have fortuitously & languorously hurkle-durkled to this delightful tweet on lucifugousness this morning! (other ref. in next tweet)
I do a double take every time I see @milton_damian’s #DoubleEmpathyProblem still being referred to as a “theory,” since it’s so completely in line with all of my personal & professional experiences, I’m not sure if I’ve ever encountered an exception to it!
I think #Neurotypicals *understand* but can’t *accept* that we find their “easy” things difficult & vice versa. They can’t retain it b/c theirs is a binary world where development unfolds predictably & one is either FUNCTIONAL or DISABLED. They simply cannot believe they coexist.
This! #Neurotypicals really seem to struggle with the idea that as #Autists we often find their “difficult” things easy & their “easy” things difficult or impossible to do. I don’t understand why this straightforward mental transposition is so onerous for them.
Work/Life Balance - literally: Ricochet, a therapy surfing dog, works with #Autistic children & #PTSD veterans. She was supposed to be a service dog but instead found her true calling in therapy (58 seconds).

Work through your #Prejudice so that we #Autistics & other #Neurodivergent people may finally be recognized as worthwhile members of an inclusive society - DIFFERENT but EQUAL and PROUD - without fear of disclosure and ostracism or far worse.
Thank you for listening. 9/9

We still have to hide our true selves or risk judgement or worse.
#Autistic worth is unfairly equated to monetary productivity or care.
Perhaps this widespread #Prejudice should be worked through at all levels of society from individuals to families, professions, governments .8
