Read fairy tales to your students/children! It can boost their creativity, imagination, reading, writing, and comprehension skills. They’re also good for ELL/EFL. It can also help them recognize their emotions as well as other’s. #FairyTales#JanTerm23

On Friday we had the opportunity to read children’s books out loud to our bookclub. I read The Truth about Cats, and I believe this book provides great visuals and creativity to a children’s book #JanTerm2023
Today in class I shared this book! Not only does this book teach facts about animals that live there but you can shine your flashlight behind each page to reveal what animal you will talk about next! This book is interactive for students and makes reading fun! #Janterm2023
This book is a great example of a sliding glass door! It takes you into a whole different world. It could also be a mirror/window because there were children back then that had to leave their families to go to another home for protection from the wars. #JanTerm2023@TamraDollar

My key Takeaway from L&L Ch6 is that disruptive students should not be fed that negative attention that they are craving. And to help prevent disruptive behavior, build a relationship with them with simple conversations. #edu351@TamraDollar
The Giver was a great way to represent a utopian society but really it’s a dystopian society. they say it was banned because “It promotes suicide and disregarding human life” I disagree. #bannedbooksweek#edu351@TamraDollar
My biggest take away from todays book club was that one of the reasons why there is an achievement gap is because schools that have students that aren’t doing well are the schools with teachers that don’t do anything besides handing them a worksheet. #Edu351#Delpit@TamraDollar
